Finally killed him this Thursday after ~130 wipes or so, got 3 hours of progress on Vari last night and that fight is thankfully much easier. Should be a kill on Tuesday. I've been informed Mythic Aggramar requires 2 blood DKs, and I'm one of the only 2 (frost) DKs in the guild, fun times ahead .. Yeah first time in the expac my guild geared alts for a boss was Aggramar and Argus. Its not like Aggramar is impossible without blood DK's but it cuts the difficulty by half. On February 12 2018 22:42 Warri wrote: Well, as far as tanks go, kind of yes. Since you at most have 3 tanks in a guild its somewhat standard that they play multiple classes. Tank isnt as hard to keep up with as dds anyway, they dont require as much gear and no special must have trinkets, as well as being easier to play in raid. I know a lot of tanks that play 4 and more classes and they are not in top 50 guilds.. I have to agree, our GM DH tanked the entire expac and then for Argus he just rolled BM monk that pretty easily tanked him in mostly HC gear. It seems that even in a casual 3 day raid guild when you have an active core its not hard to do. Especially when you get further along the expansion. But for people like me its too much. I can barely keep uptime with one character and even that is too time consuming with the time I have available so raiding is probably out for me next xpac.

Fully impossible without atleast 1 Blood tho. Or very very annoying to do.

That's how we in the end managed to take out Kingaroth. Hardly the prettiest but obviously a CLASSIC. Had about 20-30 wipes maybe.

Here's what the current raid buffs are: http://www.wowhead.com/news=281692/battle-for-azeroth-alpha-class-raid-buff-abilities and I think this was from the Blizzcon demo: http://bfa.wowhead.com/news=275398/class-raid-buff-abilities-returning-in-battle-for-azeroth I'm hoping morelong the lines of the the initial blizzcon build than the current alpha has. I think thats kind of a tame thing you can do. Are they interested in bringing back strong innervates, tricks with damage boost, hysteria, power infusions, etc.

Strange that the monk buff is 64 mastery while the rest is a % increase. But I guess subject to change etc. I am much more interested in gameplay changes and replacements for the artifact abilities but so far it is pretty much nothing.

3% versatility is the same for all classes. 3% mastery is vastly different from class to class, so they went with a flat number.

That was the big joke in wrath, you'd join a raid with like 8 paladins, and no one has any pally buffs

i think the 50-100 is just way too slow without that for experienced players

Outland and Northrend are a massive cockblock.

Though I found that tbc dungeons are way faster and easier to do than the vanilla ones. Also flying helps for questing.

We'll see. I mix dungeons and questing (basically doing every dungeon once for quests and such) and didn't find 50-60 much slower than anything that came before, but then I know Felwood and Winterspring by heart and can slam those quests out blindfolded. 60-80 was much more of a slog. I went straight to Northrend and my time per level dropped from an average of 36 minutes to 58 minutes. Part of it was that killing things just started taking a lot longer, both in the world and in dungeons. Part of it was people not knowing the dungeons at all and being bad, so much so I stopped doing them because it was costing me time. If I did it again I'd probably stick with Ramparts/Blood Furnance from BC and Nexus from WotLK and skip the rest because everyone knows those. 80-90 went fast in Hyjal/Deepholm. I would have been back to my previous average except I did a couple disastrous dungeon runs with people who really didn't know what they were doing. Avoid Throne of the Tides and Stonecore. I'm at 93 now and leveling roughly every 36 minutes again, so I don't think 90-100 is too bad either. It's really the Outland/Northrend chunk that is the sloggiest.

as for the other stuff, the 50-60 hp and damage values really stuck out for me e.g. level 60 ZF boss having over 400k HP while the TBC and WOTLK bosses had 110k and 250k, WOTLK playing closest to perfect. 50-80 just took forever, i felt the 80-90 was a bit weird because the levels take the same amount of time as 60-80 but you're supposed to have 5 levels for Cata, 5 for MOP.. in the end you kinda skip half of that leveling time period and barely hit the content there compared to other expansions. 90-100 also took a while, but more in line with what it should be.. Unless they intend to keep leveling time way more constant from say 40 to 100? I'd like to see it lowered across the board if that's the case. My 60-80 time was level for level slower than the last time i did 100-110 despite trying real hard and being familiar with both sets of content. Balance-wise quite a few things need a tuning pass but generally it seems very good aside from the exp numbers IMO - plus the availability of the level 110 boost and the ability to dungeon boost kinda destroy a long leveling process just by existing. Why spend 3-4 hours going 60-65 if you could do it in 25 minutes with a friend in Ramparts? Why spend 60 or 80 hours leveling to 110 when you can pay 60 euros (a tiny fraction of minimum wage) to skip there instead? Sure it's supposed to be enjoyable but this is a huge amount of time we're talking about. Time is money and having these options competing at all is way too big of an incentive for players to take them. They're not fun options (paying 60 euro or running 100++ trivial dungeons with your friend throughout leveling) so pressuring people that don't really want to use them into taking them for practical reasons isn't great for gameplay
