Basically Mcgreggor has to channel his inner mike tyson. Mike Tyson is by a lot of MMA types to be the real best boxer of all time so he might be able to find an uppercut to rocky his way to glory. Mayweather is old but is built for slogfests while mcgreggor has always done best in his questest fights where he goes for the KO. I'd predict a shitfest where mayweather poitns him out and people leave after the sixth round. Worse then the Manny fight. Lets all hope mcgreggor gets over his boxing fetish and goes back to the octagon. I can see him defending two belts easy.

Matt Hughes badly hurt in truck/train crash is fighting for his life. https://www.mmafighting.com/2017/6/16/15820594/report-ufc-legend-matt-hughes-injured-in-truck-accident the latest update in this article indicates things are looking a bit better for Hughes. However, this part here.. don't look good. “Hughes’ family asks that you respect their privacy during this difficult time,” the statement read. “They ask that you keep Matt in your thoughts and prayers.” sounds to me like his brain activity is low and they're deciding when to pull the plug. obviously, i hope i'm wrong on that.

Hughes was then taken out of a coma state and is said to be "responsive".

Andre Berto on his fight with Mayweather. Buildup will be nuts followed by a 12 round snoozefest with Mayweather taking every round.

Mayweather plays safe and goes the distance with top flight boxers who have tremendous defense, cardio and know the sport just a bit under his own level. McGregor cannot get to the level of boxer Mayweather is used to fighting with his defensive style. McGregor will over extend, won't have the defense required and likely won't have the cardio and Mayweather will end it.

Germaine de Randamie is no longer a UFC champion. MMA Fighting reported on Saturday that Cyborg was slated to meet Invicta FC champion Megan Anderson for the UFC belt at July 29 in Anaheim, Calif., but it was unclear how the promotion would handle de Randamie. The answer came 48 hours later. The Dutch fighter, who moved up from bantamweight and won the inaugural women’s featherweight championship with a close decision win over Holly Holm in February, was stripped of the belt after refusing to face Cyborg, the UFC announced on Monday. "UFC has informed Germaine de Randamie and her management team that she is being removed as the women’s featherweight champion due to her unwillingness to fight the No. 1 ranked contender, Cris ‘Cyborg' Justino," the promotion said in a statement. "Subsequently, top contender Justino will face newly signed Invicta FC featherweight champion Megan Anderson for the UFC women’s featherweight title in the co-main event of UFC 214: Cormier vs. Jones 2, July 29 in Anaheim, Calif. "UFC maintains that any champion is expected to accept fights against the top contenders in their respective weight classes in order to maintain the integrity of the sport.” After months of silence, de Randamie’s team opened up on May as of why she would not agree to face the Brazilian in the Octagon. “Germaine and her team have talked, and the position is that she will not fight Cyborg because Cyborg is a known and proven cheater,” de Randamie’s manager Brian Butler told MMA Fighting. “Even after so much scrutiny has been put on Cyborg, she still managed to pop for something and will always be a person of suspicion who is trying to beat the system rather than just conforming to the rules. “For that reason, Germaine and her team don't believe that Cyborg should be allowed to compete in the UFC at all. If that is the only fight the UFC wants, then Germaine is willing to wait and see if the UFC will strip her belt before making her next move.” UFC 214 takes place at the Honda Center, and features a rematch between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones for the light heavyweight championship in the main event. Cyborg vs. Anderson co-headlines the card. https://www.mmafighting.com/2017/6/19/15829326/ufc-officially-strips-germaine-de-randamie-featherweight-title-cris-cyborg-vs-megan-anderson-214 lol

Shouldn't we have a 14 woman elimination tournament like in Wrestlemania 4?

The De Randamie decision makes complete sense. In fact it is the decision everyone has been begging for the UFC to make. She won't fight Cyborg, cyborg is the clear best at 145 and the whole reason the division was created. In fact she wants to drop down to 135. What the UFC should have put her up against some no name on a fightpass special? It was the only decision that makes sense. Take the WWE references else where. You make them like every couple of weeks. Clearly you are fan because half the names you use I've never even heard of. Maybe you wouldn't look as uneducated if you wrote in a thread you actually watched instead of just posting drama BS and links.

De Randamie is a bitch. She says Cris Justino is a "known cheater" but hits Holly Holm after the bell. She's scared and everyone knows it.
