Everybody knows that recording SC BW is a pain in the butt. Full screen causes several issues like black screen or no recording for recording programs. Recording program (e.g. Bandicam shows black screen, FRAPS lags like hell ) works perfectly if you choose the window as source. But playing in a little window never ever impressed me. Everybody knows that playing in a little window sucks ass! After experimenting with several resolutions I finally found a solution. What if I make that tiny window to look large? This guide maybe raw for now but it works very well in real. Get your ass up and execute this guide you lazy bastard .
1)Change screen resolution into 640x480 (You should change it from advanced resolutions).
2)Click into options of taskbar and select automatically hide taskbar.
3)Download and run TaskBar Hider and hide taskbar by clicking hotkey (default WIN+X). Start button and taskbar cause problems for cursor because you can't go down while playing and they are visible while StarCraft is windowed (If you don't want to run this program then optionally you can delete explorer.exe from Windows Task Manager because this causes to disappear fully everything. But I recommend this program because after recording you can show your taskbar again).
4)Launch starcraft in w-mode. For better alignment open w-mode.ini and change WindowClientX=1 and WindowClientY=1.
You will now see that your game is running in windowed mode but in fullscreen. You can select StarCraft window with your program and record that window while playing in fullscreen windowed mode. If the cursor goes out from window while playing just press Alt+F1 to lock it inside the window.
Recording with Bandicam: there you should select the window area, you can do it by pressing Ctrl+F when you are in the game and after clicking somewhere. That will select recording target window automatically.
I really hope that the manual was neat. I was expelled from the faculty of linguistics recently. Therefore, my English sucks. I would not write manual for anything but when it comes to Starcraft there is nothing that I can't sacrifice.

You have discovered it long time ago but no one really cared about it maybe because it was different topic. I never thought about running ChaosLauncher in 640x480. I tried to run like that executable file of game but nothing happened. Also, running iCCup launcher in that mode gives nothing in spite of that launcher supports w-mode. But it is really good and awesome that you found it out.
Like I said - this is raw manual. We should update it to help streamers.

You mean to switch always on top mode in w-mode?
I'm pretty sure I didn't even do that; can't remember now. But even if you need to do it, I still think it's better to press that button on ChaosLauncher to keep the BW window on top instead of installing some third party software ^^

You know, most of ChaosLaunchers don't got w-mode.ini file. I made that launcher with proper *.ini file and when you run that link in your desktop with 640x480 mode it will align perfectly. How can I upload this to TL? Because I'm afraid that outsider sources can shut down after a while.

No one said that you can't. But can you record it while playing full screen? I know, with FRAPS you can rec full screen play without any progs. But FRAPS lags like HELL!!!

StarCraft was released in 1998. So you don't need to have powerful PC to record some goddamn games. I saw fpvod streams even from 1999. So FRAPS doesn't make sense. It sucks if you don't got at least i-3 CPU with average non outdated GPU. But my guide can help even if you got Pentium III, seriously. Also OBS can make videos with less size because it got adorable codec. Some programs can record for 1 GB, but OBS records for 100 MB for 20 min. (depends on settings). Think about uploading too.

Oh yeah? Show us it how can you record while full screen playing. Why so many users don't admit that they can't properly record full? My guide just wants to help eliminate annoying issues.
I personally don't have a problem streaming, when did anyone recently say they had an issue? But glad to see you wanted to contribute to the community.
