GRE Company charges 25$ for it to send a PDF of my results to an email. PER EMAIL. College charges 15$ for it to send a PDF of my transcript to an email.
I understand fees like applying to college, but that's because there are people who have to look at your application.Or if this was like in 1950 and there was no such as PDF and they actually had to mail something, okay, I'll pay 25 dollars even if only takes 5 dollars to mail. But this isn't 1950 and the entire process is automated
The above kind of fee god if there is anything I hate in the world it's that kind of fee. I hate it so much. It's a cheap way to make money because it's not like the person has a choice.
FUCK.
Okay rant over.

A taxi ride in New York costs 50 bucks. Random fees suck but you're talking like $200k for a lot of grad school programs so it's small change

My least favorite fee story:
I had money in the bank, and it was fine. Then they changed their... their goddamn... fucking... policy. They started charging an "inactivity fee", where I had to withdrawal or put in at least 20 dollars a month, or they would take like 30 bucks. I refuse to do business with them ever again.

Yeah I hate dem rip off artists.

Yeah fuck that. I'd rather walk 1.5 hours than fork over 50 bucks for 15 minutes of car ride. Plus, driver will prob expect tip.
Don't get me started on the concept of tipping

Yeah I'm switching banks next month because them assholes decided that they were going to TRIPLE the "minimum relationship balance" from 5k to 15k, and increase the monthly fee they'd charge if you didn't have at least that minimum amount in total across all your accounts. And this is barely a couple years after they'd first instituted that min balance bullshit.
Basically "fuck you plebs, we only serve rich people now". Well, fuck you back, stupidbank.

That's terrifying, I have an account I haven't opened in years.

Airlines are pretty bad at this. I once had to pay a fee to check into a flight.

Retarded fees are probably the biggest reason I'd choose to do business elsewhere if a company had them.
I just switched banks because they decided to introduce an 'upkeep' fee without providing any new service, their reasoning basically being that other parts of the business were less lucrative.
@OP
That's some major bullshit with the college charging you for Emailed transcripts, if it was by mail it'd be understandable.

Uh... I'd look at that if I were you. I learned the hard way that you have to watch your money closely, because there are people who want to take it.

Silly people, I keep all my money safely in my mattress.
