wp, your macro was better than ever before (200 minerals at 23 minutes) and the difference is evident.
for anyone who's watching, I was really rusty andin game one and I forgot to upgrade consume (I could've sworn that I clicked the defiler mound and pressed c), which I had only realised after making my defilers and wondering why the hell wasn't consume done yet, which would explain why my swarms were late and my defilers were just hanging around.
BigFan's has improved a lot.
One suggestion I have in the presentation of the video is to make it fit to screen, ie remove the empty black space.

The anti death ball way Brood war worked is so cool. It's still a macro game, but winning with micro, and smaller groups of units in smaller engagements is still critical.

Yes, examples like the bio vs lurker, bio vs muta, terran ball vs dark swarm are micro scenarios where the advantage is given to the person who controlled it better.
Given the same scenario, the terran could completely crush the zerg, the zerg could completely crush the terran, or they could come out even. It all depends on the execution.
And execution is something that we improve on over time. We could never have pulled off so many things we did in this game 1 year ago, and watching our improvement is extremely satisfying.

Engagements, regardless of size, are all important and can really swing the game back and forth so even a weaker macro player can win a stronger macro player if he microes better during engagements. Of course, if the difference in macro is that big, micro still can't save you lol but you know what I mean.

Micro is amazingly fun in BW but you need to make sure you don't loose track of macro either.

Watching improvements is extremely satisfying as JieXian mentioned. Of course, we also have our off-days but overall, more games than not are around the same level (or close to) the game above. Also, thanks for reading my blogs ^^

Nothing... NOTHING gave me more rewarding feeling in BW than winning a hard fought TvZ. Those games where it goes beyond 25ish minutes with 4~5+ expansions for both sides... those games really gave you chills after it's done.
Also, it's been a while since I played/watched BW. Gosh those sound of scvs mining mineral... music to my ear.

Yes, you just sit there and wonder what just happened after you manage to win a game that long. Really exciting.
I think BW sounds are quite therapeutic to ex- and current players lol

Please, don't do this to me. For the last month I've been thinking of installing SC:BW again just to play some 1v1 with friends or have fun in playing 2v2's... Threads like this makes me want to do it even more and I don't know if I'm able to sacrifice my free time.
No more BW blogs !
