Congrats on getting in the GSL map pool, but unfortunately I just don't really like this map at all. :\ I agree that it's boring, but it's not just equal distance, that's actually perfectly fine and a solid pillar of 4p maps. The problem is the designs of both 3rds are also the same, there's no difference in the considerations you have to make for either one. You can have substantially different 3rd bases that are equally far away, no problem. It's Siamese 3rd's like this that are the problem.

Tho the same map, at least it looks very clean. Here is a suggestion @ IeZaeL:
+ Show Spoiler +Make the path behind the bases (12, 3, 6, 9 o'clock) have natural cliffs (not manmade) and adjust the texturing there a little.

However we were vastly outnumbered during the TLMC by those who never opened the map editor and voted for a map just because the textures looked cool or it was a 3p map or "lmao 20 bases, I love me some more bases. DAE Alterzim stronghold ? xDD" Sure foreign map aren't auto awesome but "our" TLMC and other map making contests are open to koreans while we can't even try to get our maps in the GSL (and let's not talk about trying to get them into Pro League) "Vote results of TLMC said everything:you guys just simply dont like interesting maps" This sentence would be true if you posted it on the "New WCS 2015 Season 1 maps" thread in the Sc2 general forum or on reddit.
I remember reading about the process that was used in BW to decide on maps. It seemed to be a congress of stakeholders getting together and debating until a choice was made. KeSPA, teams, players, map makers etc. There's no doubt that mistakes-were-made™ but there's also no doubt that the map pool was much more varied even using a much more restrictive tool.
Honestly I think it would be great to have an alternative set of maps being pushed by a concerned group of TL map makers. Maybe you need to have made a map of a certain quality to have your vote count or something...
I dunno, but I really like the idea of more creative map possibilities.

That looks much better and now has a better name! I'm glad this became a team effort.

IF this is being used in WCS can we expect to see it on the ladder?

Edit:

Are you so sure about that? In fact you of all people should know, lol.
Also I present to you a 5-man starcraft 2 map, by the mighty quintet NullCurrent, Johanaz, Meltage, Mereel, and Lefix.

Sick I love the horde symbol in the center lol

Suddenly it's A+. The name change and the visual update make such a difference. Instead of feeling like a boring bland map, it's an elemental layout - sort of a new way to be standard.

Sent the map to ATTx. Now we cant do anything , just hope it will reach someone at GSL.

I'm surprised no one complained about this : the thirds can be sieged from the other side of the gap between the pods. It seems that it's a big deal since it was one of the reasons why close position was removed on Deadwing.

I guess it has to do with the fact that the bases are pretty close and the ramps are much closer to what they are on deadwing. Plus deadwing had rocks to abuse that lowground path.
