Just wanted to start this thread for a manga I've been looking at for a few months. I think it's been getting more known with the anime. It's pretty shonen and is shonen as shonen gets but I think it's still pretty interesting. Summary from wiki;
"Haikyū!! (ハイキュー!!?) is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. Individual chapters have been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since February 2012, with bound volumes published by Shueisha. The series was initially published as a one-shot in Shueisha's seasonal Jump NEXT! magazine prior to serialization. As of June 2014, eleven volumes have been released in Japan.[1] An anime adaptation began airing in April 2014, which has been licensed for digital and home release in North America by Sentai Filmworks.[2]"
I saw this first when my friends and I were watching anime/ manga that he liked, which were usually weird **** that no one has heard of. We came across this one, and I was thinking, "Oh boy, not again, I'm gonna predict everything that's going to happen in the next 5 min just from seeing this." And I did, because some of the things are pretty predictable, like the Comedy of Errors or something. However, it surprised me in the way that, it's not too boring, easy to read, characters are not too similar to one another, and I feel the quality of the anime is better than a lot of the other mainstream ones barring Shingeki.
Woo discuss. Weekly chapters and now the anime is weekly too.
