And on another topic, is it just me or is Group D the weakest GSL/OSL/WCSkr ro16 group in recent memory?

In case of a 3 way tie they will play as many Bo1 round robin tie-breakers as it takes to break the tie. IIRC they usually have a day set aside for tie-breakers.

Qualifying for the WCS season finals is an afterthought compared to becoming an OSL champion. I have to think most people that actually watch WCS Korea feel the same way (that GSL / OSL is more important than WCS). On June 28 2013 04:40 robson1 wrote: Worst groups ever. What is this. Group C and D are bleh. Cool players, but not even one tournament contender compared to pretty much all tournament contenders. How did this happen? Edit: Random draw..... wth are the OSL people retarded? I understood when they wanted to keep their old format even though it doesn't work in SC2 because it's SC2 and not SC:BW, but random groups....... T_T Way to ruin the tournament -_- FischBacher On June 28 2013 03:57 DeathProfessor wrote: Foreigners: We may not have better players but we have better tournaments! TBH I disagree. He's saying that Foreign tournaments don't do retarded shit like having bo1 groups and random groups. Although they have done many retarded things in the past, they seem to be much better than OSL in these regards. He wasn't talking about the quality of the games =P

This, ironically, is them keeping in line with the other WCS events (I'm actually not sure why they did a random draw, but it isn't to be more in line with hose they did things in BW) On June 28 2013 04:56 Shinta) wrote: Show nested quote + FischBacher On June 28 2013 03:57 DeathProfessor wrote: Foreigners: We may not have better players but we have better tournaments! Even if it's kind of a bad idea, it kind of makes sense too. Doesn't make any sense for OSL to do it though. That's just lazy and bad tournament organizing.

It has two of the best players in Innovation and Flash, but because of that them advancing is pretty much a forgone conclusion, outside of the small chance of a Bomber upset or something. Group A has three really good players instead of two, even if none of them have quite the hype behind them that Innovation and Flash do. On top of that the outcome of group A is much more debatable. Gotta agree with you there. And Parting lucked out, just practice PvZ and he should come out at least in second, while the zergs have to focus on ZvZ for the best chances.
