not to mention the importance of ghosts in the storyline, if not the actual gameplay.

ou can see ht in game play from the artwork video from bliz site. They psi storm a bunch of zerglings.
what I'm wondering is if the immortals power shield stays active once a siege tank hits it to other units, like blocking marine fire once its active, or if zlings/marines just go through the shield at all times.
if having the shield activated DOES block other fire, seems like all protoss would fire at their own units with a scarab (or some new equivalent with that power) to get it up before a fight. so I guess thats unlikely

You can see in the vid that the new shield is very limited in duration and has a long cooldown. Watch as the tanks 1st hit them.. I think it looks like the strong shields don't die out from damage but rather stay active for a certain duration then go on a cooldown before they can br brought back up. If i am right then you would definetly want the enemy to activate them so they are up for as long as possible during combat.

They are not going to replace DTs; Stalkers to DTs are the equivalent of the Dragoons to Zealots.

I believe it was stated that they are keeping the same number of units. For this reason, the introduction of the Immortal resulted in the removal of the Dragoon. If the DT is not removed because of the introduction of the Stalker, what would be removed then? It's logical to assume that the DT will be gone.

Please explain. If anything, your response to my post shows no logic simply because you didn't explain a single thing.

This is always a possibility, but that throws off the balance between the different production facilities in terms of the number of units you could build. I think it's relatively safe to assume that if the total unit count is staying the same, most likely we will see the same number of available units from each building (although I honestly wish they just kept all of the BW units and added units from there...). And frankly, if this assumption is correct, then it comes down to a choice between keeping the High Templar or Dark Templar and I just personally think that the High Templar is more representative of the Protoss race than the Dark Templar is and that's pretty much what Blizzard is trying to bring out, no?
As for the issue of cloaking units, I do believe that there will continue to be cloaking units in the game. We've already seen the Ghosts with cloaking ability so it's safe to assume that there will be other cloaking units. The question I think is whether or not the cloaking ability will be unique to Terrans in SC2. We've seen no sign of the Dark Templar or the Arbiter so it's in the air as to whether or not the Protoss will have any offensive cloaking ability. I'm sure they will introduce detectors since it's already shown that Ghosts can cloak and Zerglings can still burrow. Without detectors in the game, these abilities would become extremely imbalanced.

The DT doesnt have to be removed just because the stalker was introduced. If arbiters are removed, the protoss would no longer have any cloaked units. They can get rid of the less useful units in the Protoss army in favour of the stalker, like the DA. This is why your post didnt have logic. Its NOT logical to assume the dt will be gone, IMO. good day!

I wonder how many units they've created just to test how they play or wether they took the decisions in the planning stage..
If they've created just about all units already, this means that the fanbase may still have some very small say in what stays and goes. But functionality and usability should be the main concern. Well, coolness is important too. Yeah, definately coolness as well.

Why do people assume that Zeratul will still be a DT?
It even says on the site, "The stalker is a machine controlled by the shadow-essence of a dark templar warrior, willingly fused into its metal body to protect his people."
Maybe he becomes a Stalker to better protect his people?

how does his post not show logic?
if what he says is true, it seems logical... doesn't mean it's right.. but if I had to pick one unit I'd think the DT makes the most sense
