He literally managed to throw a game from being up a base vs zerg with a 7k vs 0 bank by IIRC, splitting up his army, taking really bad engagements, having very few production facilities, and losing most of his production and several orbitals to an army that couldn't shoot up, and even while this was going on, had 3-5k minerals, but didn't think to build any more production literally anywhere.
It's the biggest throw i have seen in professional sc2, period
I mean, Grats to Suppy for winning, but the game was not his and i am sure he knew that.
He lost all the drones at the third, lost 17 banelings to a single widow mine shot, terran had a 50% supply lead, upgrade lead, worker lead, like holy shit, Heart deserves a medal for losing that game. It's like he took a bathroom break for 5 minutes because he felt he was too far ahead, and came back after losing all of his shit and even then he should have won but he didn't, i don't even know what to say
Definitely not the biggest throw. Perhaps top 10.
what do you think the biggest throws in sc2 have been?
Wasn't there an Inca game on crevasse?
more like any inca zvp especially the inca nestea final....all of those games make me shudder

MKP nuking his own army?
IIRC he won that game ? Not sure anymore, I could be wrong... All I remember is that sweet move : seeker missile on his own medivac then turbo boost it into his opponent army for AoE damage. Man, that was sweet. :p

Yes I am ! Obviously. Too many terrans nuking themselves :p

I don't know about biggest throw, but I have seen plenty That's a fact, that games can be affected by things that are not part of game (starcraft) itself

really glad to hear that about suppy's success. suppy's story is an easy one to like. He is personable and genuine, and most of all clearly a very intelligent unit as shown to the public with his post game analysis on his stream; there's never a sense of total frustration, and he seems to have a keen understanding of the machinations behind the dynamics of winning and losing games.
edit: just watched the highly recommended game 2 vs heart and it's clear that before suppy's (first) attack at like 17 minutes heart's macro was afk hence why people call this a throw but still a good comeback and good cost effectiveness by suppy after that point

if Mvp-Squirtle metropolis can be called one of the best games because of context, then game 7 of that series is probably the greatest throw of all time
Agreed, that was painful.
Although I seem to recall another game with proxy 2-rax vs 2 hatch before pool and then managing to lose it. That takes quite some doing.

It's not like it's genes that make Koreans better at the game; they are good mainly because their culture allows for more dedication to practice and because of the better infrastructure with pro houses and such. So being American with Korean roots really doesn't help you... And I really don't know what you're getting at with the Chinese part; the Chinese aren't even that good at sc2...

What game is he referencing ?
Marineking nuking his own army: Marineking vs Drewbie on Shattered Temple at some MLG, lost the game, won the series IIRC. Seeker missile on trubovac: Bomber vs Gowser on Whirlwind, last MLG

It's like the game Flying just played where he goes out with a 6-Colossi/Massive-Stalker army vs a Roach/Hydra/Corruptor/Swarm Host army and he lets the Colossi get massacred by the Corruptors. You just look at it and go: What? :p

Nah. Flying game is nowhere near a throw. He just had mediocre army control Probably got overconfident and blinked into locust/hydra and underestimating the zerg army.
