Vortix advanced in first place with a good all-around performance, defeating his opponents in macro games as well as showing a clever overlord + roach all-in against Dayshi in final series. Errors cost Nerchio his initial series against Dayshi, but he recovered by defeating monchi in the losers match and winning a rematch against Dayshi in the final match to secure a Ro16 spot.
WCS America:
EG.Suppy.RC scores a major upset by defeating AX.Heart and AX.Ryung to reach the Ro16; Hellokitty gives mixed performance before ceding second place spot to Ryung. Detailed results from Live Report Thread by Waxangel.

Suppy and Ryung advance to RO16!
After utter Korean domination in week one of WCS America, the USA's Suppy hit back with the biggest one day upset across all WCS regions. Suppy didn't drop a single map as he defeated two Korean Terrans, Axiom's Heart and Ryung, to advance to the Ro16 as first place in his group. The highlight of Suppy's night was a fifty minute brawl against Heart, which was as entertaining as it was scrappy and sloppy. On the other hand, Suppy's series against Ryung was much easier, with Ryung tapping out against consecutive roach-bane attacks.
The other American in the group, Hellokitty, put on a more mixed performance. He lived up to his reputation as a cheesy player in his first series, getting crushed by Ryung who carefully scouted and prepared for all-ins. However, Hellokitty got some redemption in the losers match against Heart, where he defeated the Korean Terran in a macro game before finishing him off with an immortal all-in build. The Koreans did get the last laugh on the night, as Ryung had no trouble defeating Hellokitty once again, avenging his teammate Heart and reaching the Ro16.
