Glad they nerfed Akali because she snowballed in all the wrong ways. Not that good if your opponent knows exactly what to do but 1 fuck up and akali is going to destroy you over and over without being able to do anything. Only champion that seriously needs nerfs still is Thresh. He's balanced in the hands of most people but he scales so insanely well with skill, the stuff you can do with him is absolutely retarded if you play him well enough. Usually it isn't lane where akali gets big anyway. I've seen games where akali like 0/4/0, behind ~30 CS, then she gets like a kill or two at a dragon fight and it just like suddenly she kill everything.

That wasn't really a buff so much as a convenience. It didn't even change the ideal rune page for Akali, it just made people who couldn't afford it able to play her at a functional level. Which apparently became a problem in Bronze tier. I expect her to achieve Eve status by S4 if that's why they nerfed her, because a champion with innate Spell Vamp, spammable single-target abilities, stealth, and a triple gap closer is always going to destroy players at and below that level. There goes Akali's laning phase; not like she had much of one anyways. Time to jungle Akali. + Show Spoiler + On April 10 2013 11:25 Requizen wrote: I honestly think the 60% sprint on rank 1 of Karma E will make her nearly ungankable. She's already really hard to catch and harass out with only 1 or 2 points in it, this is going to be hilarious. FYI, the "60% at all ranks" aspect is only if you use Mantra on it. Otherwise it's still 20-60% depending on rank. So if Karma uses her Mantra on anything else and hasn't been maxing E then she's just as gankable as before. Its actually pretty good, rough first clear but great ganks and Gunblade/spirit AP item then rylais or deathcap/lichbane if you're ahead wrecks face. Pretty reliant on kills to make an impact though.

Diana has mana costs? If you look at his blog he's been advocating jungle Akali for months, it's not the first nerf that has him going "Yay, jungle Akali buffed/doesn't care!". Monte's a strange beard wielder like that.

They're actually significant if you need to use your shield(which you do against like every lane ever).

I had a sneaky suspicion in the back of my mind that someone on here was a jungakali advocate. Probably what made me start it in the first place.

I feel like the one thing they could change to make Thresh less retarded at high levels is adjusting the leash range of the lantern (you can be SO FAR away from your lantern, allowing for some truly ridiculous lantern saves/tricks/ganks/more.) It would barely impact his play at lower skill levels.

It was surprisingly strong (or well, as surprisingly a build with expensive items can be...) massive AoE damage while still very tanky -- thanks to the CDR (eventually got a Spirit Visage too), decent armor+mr and Turtle spam. Liandry's is probably a bit iffy in a real game, but I think Lizard Elder and Sunfire will now be core on my Udyr.
