Back when I started watching StarCraft we had to rely on the generosity of fans living in Korea restreaming broadcasts. The quality was terrible and the broadcast would frequently freeze, forcing the streamer to alternate between sources. And we were grateful for those people.
And I came here late - 2008 or so. Adun only knows how the old guard actually did it. But evidently the coddled pansies we have here would probably be cutting their wrists to Linkin Park's Crawling if they ever had to endure the like. It's human nature to get spoiled, whould you like to live in a shed ? We used to ! It's supost to improve we should not be thankful and in awe every time something get's hosted. Fact is for Blizzards standards this tournament is lacking in quality. Yeah, I agree. I'm not saying criticism is invalid or unwarranted, but seriously, people commenting that this is the 'worst tournament ever'? These people need perspective. Hell, look at the last Blizzcon. Things like 'worst tourney ever' are just spur of the moment exaggerations. Don't read too much into it =P Well it's not the worst tournament ever, but it looks pretty amateurish compared to the LoL and Dota finals. This is blizzard's flagship tournament and it looks the same or even worse as any other ran tournament. Blizzard could throw all the money they want at this tournament, but money does nothing if the people hired can't do the job properly. I think it was a mistake for blizzard to host this in china. Should have hosted this in the states or....canada! They need to sell Sc2 in China I see that as the only reason why they would go all the way to China. This entire thing is a giant advertisement for sc2 and WoW in china, trying to tap into that huge population. Isn't WoW already prity big there ?
Its only big in Taiwan I think.

Illusion played really well but parting was just much better.

STParting vs QuanticIllusion Asia runner up vs USA
Illusion spawns in the bottom left on Daybreak, Parting spawns in the top right. Illusion opened up with rax-gas, which was scouted by Parting's probe. Illusion started his reactor on his barracks and his command centre, while blocking the nexus from Parting with an engineering bay. Parting started a second gas, then his nexus while Illusion started a third comand centre in his main. Parting opted to go for two more gateways before his robotics facility. Illusion pushed out to the watchtower and secured his natural with a single bunker at the front. Parting began his robotics support bay and a single forge as Illusion's factory is halfway complete, as well as a third nexus. Parting's twilight council began as Illusion's third orbital floated to the base. Parting stopped colossus production after a single one, transitioning into charge and a templar archives. Illusion pressured the third of Parting, attempted to drop over the forcefields to snipe the colossus but was unable to and was pushed back. Psionic storm started about the same time as the ghost academy, with Parting in the supply lead at 140-120. Parting expanded towards the bottom of the map for his fourth base and pushed along the bottom towards Illusion's natural with three storms, however he misses two storms and retreated back towards the middle. A second robotics facility was started at the same time as Illusion's fourth base. Illusion successfully snipes the lone colossus but loses several SCV's to a zealot runby to the third. Illusion and Parting engage at the ramp outside Illusion's fourth with 11 ghosts and 12 high templars. Good snipes landed but a key storm landed on the entire army. Zealots again runby through to Illusion's third base, but Illusion's push towards Parting's third is stopped by a zealot-heavy force. Zealots in Illusion's third finally cleaned up, now down 20 workers. Parting switched into double robo colossus, and pushed into Illusion's fourth base, killing all the SCVs and the command centre. Illusion attempted a two medivac drop but was shut down by cannons and a high templar. Parting pushed into Illusion's natural with a larger army and Illusion gg's out.

Any word on when the Creator - Scarlett match will be? I've got to get up early in the morning, and that's the one matchup I'm willing to lose sleep to watch.
