Why have you become such a hateful malicious person?
Grow up and stop being a dick. Your team deserves more professional behavior.
I don't like catz in any way shape or form, but he is right with that one. Avilo is not exactly a good "community figure."
It is one thing to be outspoken and make controversial statements or complain about balance, it is another thing to make unprovoked, personal insults. Catz has done this multiple times and Avilo's been nothing but friendly to him, and spoken highly of him on his stream.
Anyone else on TL would be banned for seeking out a poster just to insult them, especially more than once, and it burns me up that Catz gets away with this shit, and that he would even be such an awful human being.

Pretty cool to see FXOpen now owning 3 fully fledged teams in the three major SC2 continents :D
Avilo's position on the team has not been fully decided, It is still being discussed internally
Please pick up Avilo, as outspoken as he may be, he has a lot of loyal fans and a lot of potential.
Avilo kicks ass
"Avilo kicks ass" really says nothing.
The guy has had "potential" for more than 2.5 years and produced little in the way of competitive event results at hte top level of the game. He is petty and confrontational over silly issues.
If you want to protect the "FXOpen" brand then I'd recommend that this guy be given the freedom to "realize his potential" on another team.

Yea because he's any worse than certain players on ROOT's roster, current and former...
The foreign scene is hilarious in it's resemblance of a high school community. Popularity goes much farther than actual achievement or skill. I'm pretty ambivalent towards Avilo but if FXO picks up those players and decides to leave out Avilo because of popular sentiment, that's a joke. But I guess that's where the foreign scene has been gravitating towards anyways.
i think they are just trying to protect their brand. The last thing they need is controversy from an LGN team member who will add almost nothing to their brand on an international level.
Additionally, for team leagues, he doesn't lose TvT. He beats Illusion most of the time. Nobody is going to say "I'm not opening a forex account with you guys because that guy who thinks infestors are imbalanced has FXO before his name."

FXOpen is an extremely strong brand. Protecting its image will be a major part of your job. Good Luck in your future work with a really cool team!

Seriously; what are you talking about?
read the last line of my comment. "The last thing they need is controversy from an LGN team member who will add almost nothing to their brand on an international level."
when he enters Code "A" or "S" or wins a major event let me know.

This is false. I've watched Goody manhandle this guy several times in TvT. And I would not call Goody's TvT world class by any stretch of the imagination.
the other LGN players, like the player in question, have produced nothing at the top level of the game. However, they represent no threat to the FXOpen brand image.
Avilo won't hurt the brand he's not that stupid. He might be a whiny little shit who rubs a lot of people the wrong way but he's not going to hurt the brand.

Want to edit your post? It really annoys me when someone calls another an "awful human being" especially one of my friends. Especially on the site I call home. I personally think catz didn't need to say it, but its not ur place to call him an awful human being because of it. If you think because someone says something mean to someone else it makes them an awful person, then your being an awful person right? =/

there is no upside to bringing him onto their team. better safe than sorry.
He's got something of a following (for some reason), his stream gets a good amount of viewers and if balance whining was something that could get you kicked from a team I doubt we'd have a scene anymore.
On October 29 2012 11:30 iaguz wrote: his stream gets a good amount of viewers
define "good amount"
his following is negligible and i'd say zero people in his "following" trade securities or commodities or currencies. he has not won a high profile international event. so again, he'll add nothing to FXOpen.
he has not won a high profile international event.
Holy fuck 99% of current people playing SC2 should just quit because we haven't done this. I mean shit all of FXO bar Leenock and Gumiho haven't done this should they quit?
Shut the fuck up you clearly have no idea what the fuck you're saying.

The problem is if they don't bring on avilo there is probably a reason you know? Clearly avilo's "image" can't be that great if they don't mind bringing in players with little to no results but decide to overlook avilo. It has nothing to do with results, results are clearly irrelevant as most of these players don't have any significant results its all about his image and if FXO doesn't take him clearly he has built a negative image.
Congrats to the guys who did make it on FXO. I'm glad they are "rebuilding" their NA team and I hope the best of luck to these guys. Most specifically LgNKarmy and LgNTheory two of my favorite protoss's in the world!!!!

swearing does not add to the clarity of your post.
i'm not sure what you are getting at here.
to address part one: A player deciding whether or not to play a certain game has nothing to do with FXO's choices about who they want to pay to represent their team and brand. Its up to each individual to decide whether or not they want to keep playing SC2. its a personal choice.
to address part 2: Players who win or even place highly in major events provide a motivation for a team like FXO to keep them on their team. Therefore, Leenock and Gumiho create motivation for a top team to sign and pay them due to their past success. The player in question provides zero motivation because his success in major international events is zero.
also, your facts presented are incorrect. Lucky finished 2nd at IPL3. Choya has been in the GSL Code "S" or Code "A" at least 3 times. http://teamfxo.com/index.php?pageid=results i could go on listing more examples but it'd derail the thread.

But it doesn't seem to annoy you when someone calls avilo much worse? *just shakes my head at the iniquities.
Thanks Ugly and other loyal avilo fans who see/know the "real" avilo and aren't afraid to stand behind him. He knows his game and is not afraid to speak his mind and that's a reason to hate him? Fine. Avilo has strong shoulders and a strong moral character and the verbal abuse I've seen directed at him for over two years for no reason other than he's avilo (He hasn't said or done anything that I haven't seen/heard other players do) would have broken anyone else. I'll just say in my opinion what this community has tried to do to him is just blatantly wrong.
it'll be interesting to see how FXOpen develops their North American team. i wonder if this is part of a move in general for FXOpen to attract North American Forex traders to their site.
and people wonder why pros or other community figures don't post much when this is the level of respect they get seriously leave the drama to the days of our lives writers and lets just focus on starcraft

He's actually worse then most other players especially when it comes to balance (he has said terran was underpowered since Beta of WoL and even when terran was dominating he still thought they were weak lol). The hate he gets is well deserved he's also an incredibly rude person at least online, he'll offensive GG, he'll call players way better then him names he shouldn't. There is a reason at the high level of play he's a joke whenever his name is mentioned.
Either way this topic shouldn't be about avilo, grats to LGN on being absorbed by FXO.
