Not that overclocked at all.
For 480, what video settings should I set?

I run on a macbook pro 13-inch Specs: intel i5-2435M @ 2.40 GHz 4GB RAM Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit OS Standard hardrive 540GB Graphics card: Intel HD 3000 (complete trash graphics card) I used the software recommended above but with possibly the lowest settings. It goes well at 25fps and at 360p with my internet upload speed at 1.5mbps it streams fine with my in game fps at 30-35. Really good software to use without the limitations of Xsplit where you have to get a premium licence to change the FPS and have better audio quality. Props to GTR for posting this.

There are a few things preventing me from using it, though: 1) It doesn't let me set small enough screen regions. 32 pixels is as low as it can go, and I have regions as small as 26px, and even 9px tall. (For those curious, respectively: WSplit (speedrun timer tool), and the Winamp song title area.) There is also no crop function, which would help alleviate this problem a little bit. 2) No chroma keying. I have an IRC client connected to my Twitch chat, which I've then set up as a screen region. I then use chroma keying to turn the chat background transparent so that there's just floating text, which I then place on a custom transparent chat box to make it stand out more. It's a great way to encourage chat participation. Click here to see how it looks. (Skip ahead in the video to see how it looks "in-game".) I would also love the ability to specify size and screen position of any object in pixels. This is useful for webcam placement and such. Also, why can't I set Print Screen as a hotkey? I've been using it as my XSplit "start broadcasting" button. It's no big deal at all, but I wish you'd add it. In summary, OBS just lacks certain features right now -- which is to be expected since it's very new. I'm not complaining; I think it looks great, and it will be a solid competitor to XSplit. For now, though, I'll have to stick with XSplit. On October 28 2012 21:43 Sidetrack wrote: http://i.imgur.com/WwxaF.png I get this whenever I try and open OBS, anyone know how to fix it? Answered several times in this thread already, including on the first page. Install the latest version of DirectX.

I have never been able to stream with xsplit because it would make my in game fps fall to ~15 every single time I tried. I opened this up, set my stream to great quality, and was getting 140 in game fps The only issue I'm having is that there is a huge amount of delay between clicks I make and the actions being performed. for example I send my scv to scout, and then it goes to scout ~ 2 seconds after. I'm going to lower the quality to see if that helps, but is anyone else having any similar issues?

1. How do I update OBS to the newest version? Do I just delete OBS and install the new one ;/ 2. My speedtest.net results generally put me at 4mb/s+. Despite ashburn primary being closest to me (secondary never works for some reason), and having about 40ms avg, which is about 10-20 avg lower than san antonio, Virginia's jitter is always 10+, in the yellow, and sometimes even in the red at 20+, while Texas always has green jitter (and the average and last is always at least in green too). So I generally go with san antonio server. My question, is that I've done some thorough testing with OBS, and I can never set my vbv to over 2k/2k, or else the stream will have drop lots of frames (like every 5 seconds, the stream sort of pauses/freezes/jumps). Why is this? Xsplit did not have this issue for me. When I use xsplit, I would set my vbv to 2500/2500 and be fine (the bandwidth tester in xsplit said I was consistently green up to 2500/2500, any higher and i'd usually get green but sometimes get yellow, rarely red, not sure why, just is the case though). What is causing this issue? Is this just my connection not connecting to these servers good enough or something? I'd like to increase my bitrate to increase the quality of my stream video. On a sidenote, I stream to twitch/justin. Does anyone know what kind of buffer limit they allow? And, what should my max buffer be set to? I know most basic guides say just use a max/buffer ratio of 1:1... but what would be the impact of raising the buffer higher? I know that whoever you stream to has to actually accept a larger buffer ratio, and I'm not sure if justin/twitch even does... but does it require more upload or cpu? What are the costs of a higher buffer ratio?

I've actually suggested it to Jim myself for the very reason you want it, as I'm a fan of speedruns and know it's a common inclusion on streams On October 29 2012 00:47 Medrea wrote: Does this program work with Windows XP? Afraid not. I forget the specific reasoning but I believe it has to do with certain features of DirectX that OBS makes use of not being supported on XP.
