I would find it very hard to believe that even the new ivy bridge chips could successfully stream 1080p@60fps with reasonable clarity at only 3k bitrate or so once action starts heating up. | ||

I can encode 1920x1080@60fps fine on an i7 950 @3.8ghz, cpu is nowhere near maxed, ive got a few VOD's a few minutes long with no frame drops at all. Its not sustainable though, with extreme movement or a ton of action going on in the scene i cant really get stable (no frame drops) until down at about 40fps @ veryfast. A ton of people will think they can get better results than they actuly can, because they are not advanced enough to know the difference, or dont know to look for dropped frames in the output video, etc, assuming they tested correctly in the first place holy hell im streaming 720p at 100 fps!!! The vast majority (>99%) of your viewers wont be able to view a video at >60fps. Streaming at 100 only helps those with higher refresh rate monitors, and much much more likely than not, you are lowering the average framerate of your output video even lower than it would be with 60fps capture and encoding, because you will be hurting the average framerate of the game by trying to capture the screen at those framerates. The best Intel CPU's struggle for 30-40fps minimum framerates after overclocking, Phenom II's dont come close | ||

I only see the XSplit broadcasters Main picture where it says 'Start xsplit bla bla' so it first of all doesnt matter what resolution i use. Please help | ||

I have OBS on the SSD (I guess this does not matter) but I have all my games on some old crappy 7200rpm disks. Can that be the cause of my lag issues? | ||

That being said, I don't think you should pick up on every single "Omg 9 million FPS while streaming 100 FPS 1080p" comment. Low content posts don't attract attention, its like the opposite equivalent of FPS whining. | ||
