CSL Eligibility Requirements
Team Eligibility
+ Show Spoiler +
- Each team must belong to an accredited college or university with a physical address
- Online universities are ineligible
- Each university must offer at least a two-year degree program
- Each team must have a minimum of 7 players who are all students at the same university
- SOME exceptions are possible: this will be handled on a case-by-case basis
- If a school or university has a population of less than 5,000, a player may request to join the team of a near-by university. CSL administrators however, will examine each request on a case-by-case basis to determine whether such a move will be allowed.
- Factors of determination include, but are not limited to: the requesting student’s level of skill, the possibility of forming a team at his or university, the average skill of the neighboring university, and the potential of rule-abuse
- Coordinators are responsible for ensuring that all members of the team follow the guidelines outlined in the section “PLAYER ELIGIBLITY”
- Each of the Top 8 teams in the league must submit a letter using his or her universities letterhead, signed by the dean of the college or university or otherwise appropriate authority figure stating that all competing members of the team are valid, full time students
- Failure to submit this letter to CSL administration will result in disqualification and forfeiture of any and all prize money
