Yup :/
Yeah kind of sucks my large was a lot smaller than I expected and then it even shrank when I washed it so now it's almost unwearable.

I just got mine today! My review: Excellent! It feels comfy, has a great clean cut that sits really well on my form and the colors are very stylish. It is a sharp looking hoody. The metal zipper was a good choice in order to keep the quality level high. I agreed with a previous poster that the stitching on the cuffs is a little poor(not straight but it is secure) however I'm willing to overlook that for non sweat shop clothing!

Out of curiosity, what's your height/weight? I'm 6'5", 200lbs, will I need a large or XL? (Height will be the problem most likely, I have broad shoulders but im lean, so...) Just trying to gauge what size I might need if I end up buying one.

Is there an ETA on the european store? I would like to get my free posters without paying their worth in shipping

You want 2XL unless you like skintight lycra style clothing! which from reading this thread many do

Guys, there is a size chart for a reason. Measure yourself and THEN order. Maybe it's because I'm a woman and I know that a Small in one company/design/style is not always the same Small for another - you can't order something then complain about it when it was you who blindly bought it. And then you blame TL for it? And then blame TL for putting customs charges on your item?

You guys have no appreciation or thanks for the people who make these kinds of things even AVAILABLE to you. Be grateful that you are a part of an amazing community, be thankful that the community tries their best to accommodate you.
That being said, I'm 5'3 (161cm) and about 130lbs (60kg) and although usually I'd get a size Small, I bought a Medium after measuring myself.

I wouldn't know how to measure myself and when I tried to learn I was confused =D

/rant off You are he voice of the reason, girl, it is kind of pissing me off that some people ordered their hoodies without thinking it was an American Apparel and that AA hoodies has unisex sizes, also you could find size charts on he forum ! I haven't ordered mine yet, I'm waiting for that Euro store :D

So I washed it, and the string that goes through the hood ring part came out. Suggestions on how to feed it back, if it's possible?
|
Edit - I derped hard, went back an extra page & saw the news regarding the EU store, no worries. I'll just sit on my hands and wait till then, and probably measure myself too...

Received my goods yesterday.
So happy with everything. The hoodie is fantastic and the size was as described. (I would usually buy a small, but bought a medium after checking the sizing).
Happy with my t-shirt, mouse pad and key cap too!

/rant off Honestly, i think people just arent used to the type of fit. I was taken back when i first got mine. It fit well, but was a much slimmer fit than I was used to. I shop online a lot so I know my measurements. I would normally be an extra small (5'7 125 pounds). Based on my measurements and the chart, I was. Lucky for me, the extra smalls were not available and I went with a small. Still slimmer than i expected, but still looks really good, just not what I'm used to.
Edit: I think the way to avoid this next time would be to have model shots with their measurements in the announcement and in the store. That way even if it may fit a person of a certain size, you would be able to see how it looks compared to body type.

Normally, I would use a large safety pin, pin it near the end of the string and feed it through the hole - you should be able to feel the pin through the fabric and push it along until it comes out the other end. It will take time! But I just took a look at the hoodie and there's a fastener around the hole, which will make it more difficult - though it may still be worth trying with a smaller safety pin.

Hey, I have a question : I was waiting for the European Store to open, so I can order quite easily, but will the TL posters that I could have "for free" when paying 10$ for Liquid'Rising still be available ?

So i finally got my delivery today :D :D ;
I ordered the hoodie xxl, mousemat, keycap and spirit t-shirt xxl.
I really really like the mousemat, the hoodie is nice ofcourse and I will definately wear it often, but the stitches that connect the different shades of blue at the sleeves and bottom are of mediocre quality. They cause some folds and creases. The inside material of the hoodie is kinda strange but i guess OK. The overall quality of the hoodie is slightly dissapointing imo. I'm still very happy with it though, TL SWAG

Finally got my hoodie today, really happy with it even if slightly concerned now with all the shrinkage talk, it fits me ok, maybe a slightly tighter fit than I expected (6'4, 200 lbs, went for a Large) - really hope it doesent shrink though, think it may be too tight in that case.
The price is great too, I think many americans are used to lower prices than we have here, even with international shipping this costed me about the same as a comparable quality hoodie here.

my wife just informed me my hoodie/keycaps/mouse mat have arrived at home. so goddamn excited. gonna be a long day at work

I bought a large, and it was a bit bigger than I wanted (foolish me, didn't look at measurements untill after, I should have got a medium), but I wash/dryed it immediately to shrink it. It certainly does shrink, so you should want to hang-dry it.

I know there's a size chart, but thought it'd be best to ask people as there's been so much talk of the sizing seeming a bit odd. Anyone around 5'12" and 160 pounds? I'm pretty sure I should get a medium, but if anyone of similar size could confirm so I'm certain ahead of the EU launch that'd be great. :p
