Not sure why you guys aren't arguing the fee -_- I got mine yesterday and didn't get hammered by the fee's nor would I. Legislation is only applicable to certain things (clothing is one which sucks) however unless it has been changed drastically it only covers things that we can find and purchase already within the country. The moment you purchase a product that is not available for sale anywhere else in this country you are instantly excused from the fee's. Now they will still try to charge you but they try to fuck you on charges for shit they aren't even allowed to ding you for. This is assuming its a duty fee you are getting hammered with which deff sounds like the case given the price tag. Should only be getting nailed for like $5 for canadian processing. edit: If you can prove that the item was produced out of the US or Mexico you are free of duties as well due to nafta.

GST/HST: $2.99 PST: $5.96 Handling Fee: 8.50 (guess they charge $8.50 so that they can charge me the GST+PST!) I don't think I can contest this because they just randomly slapped some taxes onto it. The back of the customs sheet is a refund sheet, and the only reason that could apply is "Goods classified or described incorrectly: If the goods are classified incorrectly, please attach an invoice or descriptive literature which indicate type or make of the good". But I can't really think of a way to prove to them with official documents that the "piece of clothing" cannot be found in Canada.

Also it could be stuck in customs which will add a few days to the whole process.

When it comes from a country member of the European Union, no taxes, that's what I learnt in class (I can be wrong LOL), VAT is not the same in the European countries, but even if they are taxes, you have 5% chances to be unlucky at this point haha
