I stopped with most dubstep after it was tainted with people claming to make Dubstep, when in reality it sounds like Dial up internet taking a giant shit.
awesome vid dude, really i wonder how do people link today's dubstep with what it used to be... It's a shame that most producers jumped on the brostep bandwagon.
BROSTEP FOR DAH WIN (this song isn't though) I don't understand what people have against Skrillex and similar artists, they can choose not to listen instead of voicing their opinions bashing something someone else made.
zomboy - game time i first heard this song on modestep's best of 2011 dubstep mixtape (which is amazing, ive listened to that thing dozens and dozens of times). i guess it is similiar to skrillex or whatever, but the vocals in this song really take it to a whole new level. its got some good drops, but then it softens for the pitched up vocal.
also on a less brostep note, saltillo is also fantastic. he combines violin and cello with electronics (and occasional vocals) to make something really compelling.
Haven't looked through the whole thread so I don't know if this has already been brought up yet. Been listening to a lot of 'Chillstep' music, a breakaway genre which seems to have started over here in the UK. Absolutely brilliant, I love playing Starcraft to it as well!
Helo fellow TLers! Here is some dubstep/brostep/glitchstep/Whateveryouwannacallit song that got me really pumped up lately! I know some of it isn't 100% dubstep but I don't care I want to share them anyway I can spend days lurking soundcloud looking for a new track I like, here are some of my finding.
