Making them fight against established SC2 pros almost from the get-go is just harsh.
It wouldn't surprise me if hardly any Kespa player takes a series off a GSL player.

RIP Brood War.
Really glad to hear anyone'll be able to participate, too :D

13 years is cut short?

Based on the play we've seen from the KESPA players so far, if they're allowing other SC2 players in, they're gonna have some real trouble competing in the first one.
Guess theres still a lot of time to practice, but damn.

This OSL, is it different from the other Starleague that is currently going on and is mixed right now? What is the difference between this one and that one?

I thought everyone kind of knew this, but I guess now it's official. Good to hear all the progamers will be able to join, though.

Going to be interesting since they are allowing anyone to play in the prelims, I expect few BW players to make it into the Starleague.

Will titles in both games count towards getting a golden/platinum mouse?
If so...prepare for a JD platinum mouse soon!

I only request that OGN ends all records with tving and begins anew. If Flash were to win this next SC2 league, I wouldn't ever want to see anyone say he won "4 OSLs" or that he achieved more than 100 wins in OSL. (That is, unless he wins tving ^^)
Hell, it'd be nice if they could change the name too, but well, maybe that's asking for too much.

Sigh... its not a RIP.. its a farewell BW will always have my heart <3

Bring back the booth girls

Harsh, allowing non-KeSPA players in. But I guess the best way to find developing talent in SC2 would be to throw them in the deep end and see which ones can swim.

OGN is smart enough to know that they dont want to put on a major sc2 league with bad play. You cant say you are one the biggest events in the world if you are using people who honestly are not at the level that the best in the world are at. The first SC2 OSL will probably be (just due to the players who will make it) the second or third biggest SC2 event in the world easily.

Hell, it's possible(probably very unlikely) it could have got through them. But either way, SC2 accelerated the decision to stop broadcasting BW. And even as someone who was drawn into TL by SC2, I think it's a shame as much as I know 'progress' is always inevitable.(Please don't let this start a BW vs SC2, simply giving a brief synopsis and how I feel about it)

Major sports have had professional leagues spanning a hundred years or more.
