6 Weeks ago, I finally had the game design done.
Muhweli might had the time and with the 20 000$ prize of the DreamBuildPlay competition, we had the motivation to make things happen.
Now I was pretty sure a friend will agree to make the music but I know where few art people and they are always busy and get solicited and promised a lot, and usually the programmers never deliver.
This time would be different.
I asked a friend who had been in the industry few years ago if he had contacts. He pointed to someone who then pointed to someone who had just left the company to go freelance.
We checked out the portfolio and the profile was exactly what we needed, young and talented.
Few emails later and little bit of suspence, we were set.
First let's go through to software tools of our team.
Programming:
-Visual studio express 2010 for Windows Phone.
-2x Lumia 800 phones
-GIT for our version management
-Linux server accounts on some friends for the remote GIT repos
Graphics:
-Blender (Impossible to go for 3dsmax, the license was simply too expensive)
-Photoshop
Music and Sounds
-Cubase 6.5
-Reaper
-Audacity
With all these, little time, little skills, we can craft you the soon to be introduced game .
I want to release the information bit by bit during the following 2 weeks, every second days focusing on one aspect of the project so people can ask more specific questions.
