My general strategy for tougher elites so far has been to stun them in a decent position, (that is, no shit on the floor under them) pop wrath of the berserker, use ignore pain right when the stun wears off, and heal up with Revenge+Ignorance is bliss... 20% of the damage dealt while Ignore pain and Wrath of the berserker are up together is a LOT of life. This is working for me pretty well, I only have real trouble when I run into blatantly OP anti-barb elites, some of the nasty ones just aren't possible, at least with my gear atm, so I skip them Would be interested to see what other barbs are having success with, on solo inferno. Interestingly I came to a very similar conclusion to your build. However I use a bit more CC: Sprint with Gangway (run around knocking things) Seismic slam with shattered ground (big knockback) This then synergises brilliantly with relentless (no rage cost and 50% less dmg when under 20% health) so I can knockback kite any mobs that are really tricky. I lose war cry and revenge for this though. Revenge is like the best barb skill imo, for solo at least. If you have 5+ enemies on you, it's gonna be up almost all the time, and each revenge is gonna heal 25%, but you more commonly have some trash on you in addition to the elites, so you can find yourself getting 50k+ heals just from one revenge. Revenge synergises even better with relentless, it's free to spam under 20% life, so you can almost always heal back up if you drop low, without having to rely on a proc. The thing I don't like about the more CC orientated builds that I've tried, is that you are pretty screwed if you actually start taking hits, which will inevitibly happen, you can't kite forever with seismic slam because of the enrage timer on elites (not to mention unkitable shit like jailers, fast, waller, tp etc.) If you chain Ground stomp>ignore pain (don't overlap them) at the right times, you take next to no damage and you can just stand there smashing them with Wotb. While you're waiting for the ground stomp CD again, heal with Revenge/War Cry/Triumph/Potion. I can't imagine solo inferno without revenge, I would take it on any build. I've been crushing through Nightmare with two-handers. Indeed, NM is a joke aswell. Act 4 had a few harder parts tho.. Remember seeing a vid some weeks back with a dev saying that they want tons and tons of viable builds... Hah, 1h+shield and max defense as you can get is the only thing thats viable.. Give it a shot. Also, I hate not being able to log on because of these stupid servers. I bought the game to play solo most of the time, sigh.

Also, regarding that whole revenge + relentless thing, you do need to be hit for it to process right? I mean it's free in terms of it costs no fury, or it's free as in it's always ready to use?

I'm using the +30% procc thingy, and yet it's faaaaaaaaaaaaaar from every third hit that I get it up. Maybe every tenth, or even every fifteenth. It's possible that I kind of lag too much to see it in time sometimes (?), because I've also been in a situation 10+ times where I'm surrounded by a lot of mobs who are chewing on me, I don't get it procced and finally I go down after some futile running. When I'm at like 5% hp it's finally there and whhen I click it I just see how the icon activates but nothing happens to my health pool, no damage is done to the nearby enemies and 0,5 seconds later I'm dead.

From what I have seen with revenge + relentless is that dropping below 20% health won't activate it automatically, but using it below 20% health doesnt deactivate it so you can spam it back up. I am not 100% sure about this but I am pretty sure I have been below 20% without revenge being available to use.

Like I'm down to 10-15. I think it has to do with blizzard hating on my graphics card. I can play the crysis on highest settings smooth as butter.. But I can't play starcraft on more than ultra low settings without getting huge lagg when there's a lot of stuff going on.

For example, here are the best legendary items for Barb weapons: 2H Fury of the Vanished Peak 761 DPS +133 STR 1H Blade of the Warlord 693 DPS +169 STR Shield Stormshield 0 DPS +169 STR As far as raw DPS goes the 2H is better. However, once you factor in the STR on the items (1 STR = 1% DMG) the numbers end up as follows: 2H - 1,773 DPS 1H+Shield - 3,035 DPS Once you factor in the faster attack speed (more life leech) and the defensive abilities of the shield... I don't see why anyone would ever choose a 2-hander or dual weild.

Well, I'm talking about inferno solo, not got much experience with 4 player games. It's a 30% proc chance with the rune, if 5+ are hitting you, probability says it's going to proc almost constantly. If you're dying before it procs, you're probably just not tanky enough. Try swapping out some offensive abilties for some defensive, but like I said, not done much co-op.

Cleave/Searing Blast Overpower/Killing Spree Battle Rage/Ferocity Revenge/Best Served Cold Ancient Spear/Grappling Hooks Weapon Throw/Ricochet No Escape Weapon Master Ruthless I gear as much as possible toward crit chance and crit damage. Most of my vitality comes from gems, and I put on a shield for good measure. The thought here is to use No Escape as much as possible, which means I need a high crit chance. You'll see that most of my runes have some sort of effect that deals with crit, either giving me more crit chance, or having an effect when I crit, Currently I'm at level 37, with this setup my crit hits as high as 60% As for play style it's fairly simple, keep your shout on, use revenge any time it procs, and keep overpower on CD. Other than that, Ancient Spear > Weapon Throw > Cleave, in this case cleave is only used for fury, which isn't often.
