Really disappointing but kinda expected given that they haven't exactly been a top team lately other than Supernova and to a lesser extend, ForGG. oGs was the first team I actively cheered for so that part makes me sad; not being able to cheer for them anymore.
Hopefully TheWind's plans work out and we get a new and improved team of oGs players. I'm sure he'll be trying to get ForGG to stay with them.

That's far fetched.
Im not saying that its the cause, Im saying that it contributes to this overall situation in general

not sure if serious or just bw fan trolling, but LoL is a real shame of esports
Give it time. Was SC2 as good an esport when it first took off as it is today?
At this rate, it'll be a decade before LoL becomes respectable.
Maybe a decade to become respectable by the "elitist" communities. But there are already more than 10 times the players that play LoL than SC2, I would say that Riot has done a pretty good job promoting ESPORTS.
Players like Guardsmanbob net over 20k viewers easily when streaming. Don't count this game out from the ESPORTS-community because it is also helping SC2 to grow in some parts. When people are watching IEM for LoL they might tune in to SC2 and discover this fantastic game and community.
