Ageism primarily (almost exclusively) refers to discrimination based on those who are older. Saying, "I'd prefer people under the age of 18 not give their opinion," is pretty okay in my book as well as the law's book. Seriously, I don't know why people bring up ageism to refer to youths. It isn't. If it was don't you think it'd be illegal for there to be age requirements to serve in public offices or to tell people they can't drink until they're a certain age? It was coined for discrimination against seniors and is used exclusively to describe them.
To get back to the topic at hand though, no it's dumb that they're censoring things like shemale or transvestite. They have that right as a company though and honestly if it bothers you stop buying Blizzard products if they won't change their policy.

No, Ageism is young to old or old to young typically, but it isn't exclusive and sure as hell doesn't mean that saying anyone below 18 can't rationally explain themselves, that's insulting and discriminatory towards one's capabilities only because they aren't physically a certain age (I don't think I need to tell you that being 18 means you aren't more mature, they are not associated entirely without incorporating the experiences one encounter throughout their lives at different ages and thus different levels of maturity at those ages).
I think you really need to know what ageism is:

This is in reference to physical age, not mental maturity.
