Didn't a zerg just win Dreamhack? Didn't a zerg just win IEM?

We basically cheesed you before you could cheese us. And there's a big difference between a tournament like IPL and GSL Code S. There's also a big difference between a player like Lucky and a player like MMA. MMA - reputed to have some of the greatest TvZ on the planet Lucky - sorry who? Lucky 3-0 MMA. Did you not read the part about me saying we cheesed you before you could cheese us? And MMA played very badly, not his usual at all. Idk if it was jetlag or something, but he's MUCH better than Lucky. If they played right now a rematch he'd probably 3-0 him. You can't take TOO much out of a weekend tournament because 1 series and you're done. I read it and disregarded it - but very well. I guess Happy just cheesed Coca before Coca could cheese him. As for taking too much from one series, that's exactly my point. Coca has famously bad ZvT and yet because he lost...a ZvT suddenly zerg is unwinnable again. P.S. Lucky 2-1 Ryung. Stephano 3-1 TheSTC EDIT: Also I'm not sure I like being included in 'you' when talking about all terrans everywhere...I don't define myself that way, I don't support only terrans in tournament, I play protoss and terran. It's not because he lost, it's because he was the last non Terran that lost. You seriously, seriously must not have watched any of Lucky's games vs Terrans at IPL. I can't even remember him not Roach ling all inning. So if the zerg all ins it doesn't count but if a Terran all ins then it's a balance issue? But there's no such thing as a Terran all in =P But honestly, the big difference comes from how a Terran and Zerg all in works. Terrans have a much more forgiving race that can resist regular aggression and not flat out die to an all in if caught off guard. The line between aggression and all in for Z's before they really get rolling is quite fine and all inning's far more volatile. Literally, an all in for Z's simply sustained aggression for T.
Actually the line is equally thin for Terrans, once an attack is inside your production facilities it's basically gg unless you can mop it up with your scvs. I still wonder why Zergs are happy to let Terrans go for reactor Hellions, it's such a risky build that doing it against any roaches at all is close to suicidal if the map positions are anywhere close (not crossfire and not tal'darim basically).
Why is it called "all-in" if a Zerg cuts drones for 1 minute to produce a gaggle of roaches to be safe? Zerg can drone the fastest due to their larva mechanic so they can easily make up the number of drones.
edit: while i might agree that the semi finals and the finals are not as interesting now as they would be with a more diverse mix, could you please stop whining? It's not as if Terran players skipped the ZvZ finals between Losira and Nestea, and those were boring as hell to boot.

Well that's the end of Code S for me this season. See you next time!

I'm starting to think people would actually be happier if some random un-diserving protoss/zerg won a GSL instead of a player who actually diserved it, which this time, is MVP. Just like it was last season.
Even as a protoss, I still love watching every game he plays.

I have a sneaking suspision that MMA is going to win this GSL, so i am going to root for him.

It just straight up kills you.
If however he doesn't use medivacs, you can beat it.
If we played with fog of war off, Zerg should beat Terrans 50% of the time or even more, no problem. It's not being able to scout what is going on that's the problem because the proper reaction to 2, or 4, red flamed hellions, is completely 100% different to the proper reaction to 8 or 10, red flamed or blue flame hellions.
1 base 1 factory play is reacted to completely different from 1 base 2 factory play (as is 2 base 4 factory completely different from 2 base 2 factory).
The inability to scout before lair tech is zergs main issue with ZvT.

However, if you look at it from a Zergs perspective ... not much to be happy about in the history of the GSL if you remove NesTea. From a Protoss perspective ... removing MC, what is there to be happy about? From a Terran perspective ... well you have most of the finalists and ...
Just look at this: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/GOMTV_Global_Starcraft_II_League#Medals_won_per_Race
NesTea is amazing, but so is MvP. MC was, but is in a slump. But when you look at the second and third best zergs and protoss ... there are no MarineKing or Polt. And when you get down to LosirA, July, Anypro, Hongun, you have so many Terrans with equal accomplishments.
In short, while it's fun to root for a hero, it's when you look at the second and third best players that it's just sad to see how terrans dominate.

Yeah, nothing better than to wrap up a season of code S filled to the brink with TvT with a nice TvTvTvT semifinals into a completely onesided crushing victory in a TvT finals.
There is no way you can look at code S and then with a straight face say "yeah this game is pretty much as balanced as it can get right now".

Well, you could theoretically make one, but it would be even worse for Protoss, I can't see it any other way.
I don't know how you would go about making a map that was Protoss favored vs Terran AND Zerg ... mmm ?

Make a cave map with loads of chokes, cant call down MULEs from a spaceship if there's solid rock between the minerals and the ship!

As much as I hate TvTvTvT, I do want to note that it was bad luck that Nestea met MVP early on in Code T (Nestea took him to an ace match for once, and could have very well knocked out any other Terran), and Coca just played poorly against Happy. Happy deserved to beat Coca.

I wan't to see Ganzi vs MMA because that means two Slayers players make it to the finals. But I also want to see MVP and Happy go to the finals because it would be the second Team Kill finals for IM with their superior player playing against their student.............kind of like Nestea vs Losira.
