It seems like you can't warp in over the first FF in order to brute force your way into a 4gate.This is on the new PTR

You can't warp in over this FF in order to warp more in above the ramp. You also can't Blink over this one.
This one you can warp in and blink.
This one you can Blink over.
Thanks to bronzeknee for the image ■Added a flag to Warp Train abilities to disable warp-in on ramps. (please check this one again, sometimes it glitches out and doesn't let you do that before the patch)

This actually also means that blink stalkers are useless now if u cant get the vision anymore to blink over the FF

Is the third picture supposed to prove it? Get sight of the high ground and we'll see if it true.

You can still try and force your way up until he doesn't have anymore FF (or until he spends 500 gas on sentry) but this is a big nerf.

I too immediately tried this when PTR went up. The first picture also prevents blink ups while the other two do not.

The point is that you can't get sight of the high ground because you can't get sight to even warp in on the ramp.

That's the point, you can't get sight of the ramp to warp up now. Before if you took one step on the ramp you got enough vision to warp over a FF and that unit warped in and gave you vision of the high ground. Once that happened you could force your way in and never loose vision again.

The change is "unit vision up the ramp," meaning that you can't see as far up the ramp when you DON'T have vision of the high group.
It also makes it easier to defend ramps in general, since your units can move down the ramp a little more before the units on low ground can see them.

This a hundred times. If the vision change "fixes" the 4 gate in PvP then they should give Protoss back the original warpgate research timing. That would give Protoss more flexibility with their openers.

I thought this patch might fix 4gate vs 4gate but is it now collosi battles?
If blink is not as viable as an open anymore then would that not mean that zealot archon would suffer as a result? Also if 3gate robo is now stronger would that not make collosi battles more common?
Further on the patch thread there was a comment or 2 about this making expos possible in pvp, is that true? I cant see it holding against any protoss open unless you cannon to no end.

Just an Idea... do you have time to research hallucination when you do a 4gate? Just hallucinate a phoenix(VR, etc) to get vision of the highground. Then it should be possible to warp in / blink in to the highground.
Just an idea of a plat player.
