Nice! Finally a spanish community with money prizes

Great to see some LA tournaments popping up, the more event the better, no matter what community it is for.

We really hope for more communities to join and try to give it a shot and give Latinamerican players a chance to be progamers in the near future :D.

Awesome!! This is the best tournament ever! Just the fools will lose!

This is SO beautiful
We have been working on this proyect for about a year, starting from nothing but will and love for Starcraft 2 (I really mean nothing, not even a proper pc to work on the site). There's a lot of work to do, but it really feels like we have reached something at last.
Many thanks to everyone helping and supporting us. I'm sure one day our dream of doing eSports as a proffession will come true!! :D

Are you working on putting your rules in English as well or another language? You allow 25% to be non Latin-American but the rules aren't available outside of the two languages you listed which makes it hard to participate for ppl who don't speak those languages.
|
Yeah I understand ExPresident, we will try to make some rules in english.
For now, that 25% is just for those who try to make part of the tournament without having rules in English, I know that most people don't understand spanish nor portuguese but I also know that there are more than 32 sc2 players that would understand it.
I will work on the rules in English but in the future I have too much work right now and not many staff willing to support for Luvz :D.
|
I understand the staff issue and thanks for getting back to me.
I'm not really keen on the idea of big tournaments being only available to a select race/ethnic group so was just wondering if you will be trying to make it more open for others in the future.

It's not race nor ethnic ^^. It's regional.
Latinamerica exist as Northamerica, as Europe, and Corea in Blizzard minds http://us.battle.net/blizzcon/es/tournaments/
There are tournaments that are restricted for a certain region for a certain matter ^^. As we said before, we want to do this to build a strong base of latinamerican players. A community were they can be intouch in a real Stage, many players, from countries that are from latinamerica meeting in one place like MLG ANAHEIM, or GSL, or IEM, or BLizzcon, big eSport eventos, but in Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Argentina, etc, countries from Latinamerica where the trip by plane is cheap, where staying for 3 days is possible.
For most countries in Latinamerica is very difficult to go to US from one day to another... You have to wait 30 days to 3 months in line to have an interview for a visa.
The Blizzcon Latinamerican Invitational is restricted only to latinamerican players only :D
Thanks for reading I hope I'm clear ^^

Holy shit this seems great! With the incoming NA-LA server fusion coming ahead, this should allow all of the LA players to participate in the tournament, be them in NA or LA. Great idea!

(a little introduction of myself: my name is José Lladser AKA: JoeMurray. Im the founder and main administrator of this eSports project for LA: sc2la.com)
ExPresident, we think that our Xel'Naga Tour and every other tournament we organize should be a way to showcase Latinamerican players to the rest of the world. In that way, making our tournaments 100% open to everyone is what we really want. The thing is that first we need to stablish something at the region, with our people. This is just starting, so if we open this to everyone and we have not a properly matured event, it could become our ruin.
Despite all what I said, if there are players interested in participate, and can't understand the spanish/portuguese rules, please feel free to contact me and I'll help them to make comfortable in our tournies ^^ (msn: joselladser at hotmail dot com, skype-username: joselladser, mail: joselladser at sc2la dot com).
