No, the resolution of the game is in proportion to your monitor resolution. Otherwise it would be unfair for other players.

There are a few highlight-movies that paste together several screens from replays to give you better overview. it looks really good.
I guess it was one of those? Maybe the one where boxer (or whoever) lockdown 128375134 tanks?

You can easily work around by yourself though to play it in higher resolution.

You need:
5 internet connections, 5 computers, programming skills.

1) Connect the computers to bnet with different accounts.
2) start a 1on1 (obs) game from one of the computers.
3) make sure the other 4 computers gets the 4 observer slots.
4) Write a program that tracks where the screen is for the main computer, and make the four observing computers to view each one square of a 2 by 2 box.
5) send the image from the 4 observing computers to the main computer and have some other progrma paste them togheter to show them side by side. You should now be able to see 4 times normal resolution.
6) write another program to track your mouseclicks and to send them correctly, trough the main computers starcraft game, to control yuor army.

Piece of cake. 5-10 minutes maybe.

It would be a lot easier to just re-write the drawing function of SC

On new monitors, lite TFT flatscreens etc. all bw units looks alot bigger. I myself always find that disturbing on offline events since I have an older version of flatscreen and my tanks looks half the size of what it does on one of those new flatscreens ;o
old comp and monitor = best for bw
new comp and monitor = go for more recent game releases...

I'm pretty sure Spitfire_ua just took like 5 or 6 shots of one location at one time and then just stuck them together when making the video. Pretty simple, really. Just tedious.

unfortunately whatever screen you're using it forces you into a 640x480 stretched resolution. on widescreens this is especially gay. that's why they use oldschool monitors for osl/msl/pl.
