The Italian Terran player Carlo 'ClouD' Giannacco recently announced that he will leave Germany to live in his home country Italy again. ClouD came to Germany in 2010 to participate in the German ESL Pro Series for his former team MeetYourMakers. He used to live together with Johan 'NaNiwa' Lucchesi at the beginning of his time in Germany till the Swedish Protoss got kicked out of the EPS. Living alone in a different country was sometimes hard for the 25-year old, ClouD told escene.de in an interview some months ago. Beside of his step back to Italy more changes will happen in the life of the Terran player as he announced to leave Team ALTERNATE and that he is already looking for a new team. Without living in Germany he also won't be able to participate in another season of the German ESL Pro Series as this is required for any player who wants to play in the EPS.

Clouds been under the radar for a while. Hope to see some results and a new team from him soon!

Honestly, with his BM over the months he really needs to clear that out and focus on actually playing to make it anywhere, I feel like.

Well ClouD spent a lot of time in Germany, that's a good proof of devotion,he served pretty well. I can imagine he misses Italia now.
Hope he'll do well in the future & gl for a new team. I just thought about it but Millenium GH is in marseille, near Italy, would be a good compromise :p

So I read from this that he got the results he wanted to keep playing and not retire?

Can't think of a team that would want him tbh

A little harsh isn't it? he's not the most well-known but he is still quite a good player.

He's still better then half of the progamers..
If desrow can join fxo, cloud can centantly find a good team

Not really. He's a BM player who hasn't done much in the past year. I thought HSC VI was enough to convince him he should pack up the keyboard. I guess not though, so good luck to him. But what Zenbrez isn't harsh at all...it's realistic.

With proper practice he'll improve and get a good team. My main question is whether he'll focus on HotS or WoL for the time being.

He probably won't join a team like EG or Liquid, sure. But that doesn't mean he can't join a smaller team.

i dont like him at all, he has such a naive and childish behavior and mindset towards both reallife and sc2. gl in the future though

Really? I think the brand value of mediocore players increases when they make "headlines". If Cloud was a quiet guy, then everybody would have forgot he even exisited.

Have fun in Italy Cloud. I hope you find a good team and can keep playing Starcraft. GlGl

I feel extremely happy and motivated myself from his decision to not retire and keep trying to practice and improve.
He always seemed like a great individual (outside that one time when he cheesed me on ladder - like a dick, I might add), and if he survived mentally the terran oppression of this year, he'll surely do great in the future

Shame. He is a heavy BMer but his stream was always entertaining and educating. Good luck.

I always feel like he is close to quitting the game

I don't know what kind of players teams of any size scout for, but Cloud is probably the progamer that publicly whines about balance the most (though there are probably bigger names not coming to mind), hasn't really done much in the past year. Then again, most foreigners haven't either. I'm not saying no one will pick him up, FXO did pick up Desrow after all, I would have never predicted that. I don't follow him nor online tournaments, but the most I remember of him is doing somewhat well in online tournaments in 2011, before koreans were in the picture.
Having that said, if he does put in the hour and the effort, he is just as deserving as anybody else. Gl to him
