I do not get how so many sc2 players with really sub par results have the motivation to carry on. From my understanding, there is barely enough money to be made unless your the elites. Do not get me wrong, it just doesn't make financial sense how alot of players continue playing sc2 professionally without achieving results.

A little harsh isn't it? he's not the most well-known but he is still quite a good player.

Not really. He's a BM player who hasn't done much in the past year. I thought HSC VI was enough to convince him he should pack up the keyboard. I guess not though, so good luck to him. But what Zenbrez isn't harsh at all...it's realistic.

He probably won't join a team like EG or Liquid, sure. But that doesn't mean he can't join a smaller team.

I don't know what kind of players teams of any size scout for, but Cloud is probably the progamer that publicly whines about balance the most (though there are probably bigger names not coming to mind), hasn't really done much in the past year. Then again, most foreigners haven't either. I'm not saying no one will pick him up, FXO did pick up Desrow after all, I would have never predicted that. I don't follow him nor online tournaments, but the most I remember of him is doing somewhat well in online tournaments in 2011, before koreans were in the picture.

Having that said, if he does put in the hour and the effort, he is just as deserving as anybody else. Gl to him

You know who else whines about balance, 90% of Korean players, and quite worse than ClouD does tbh. ToD also whines about balance a ton, more so than ClouD actually.

Anyways I do like ClouD and hope he find a good team, I could see him going to FXO europe or Empire, maybe even Diginitas.

He will fit well in Empire or Dignitas i think. But also Karont3 is an option and he's very friend with Lucifron...

Yeah, but ToD is transitioning to be a caster/analyser, so he doesn't need a team.

Really? I think the brand value of mediocore players increases when they make "headlines". If Cloud was a quiet guy, then everybody would have forgot he even exisited.

Exactly.
Crap player + angry personality = drama = views = money
crap player + quiet = just another generic streamer.
But with top Koreans being currently unemployed, who would pick up this guy unless they want him to play for free. And then are you really a 'pro'?

I said publicly. I sometimes see them mention balance in a sentence in gsl interviews and whatnot, but they don't come onto live report threads and bitch about it.

People look for petty things to wish the worst for a player's career, I don't understand why some people can be so hateful.

I don't have the impression that ClouD wanted to leave Germany, so I guess Alternate didn't want to re-sign him. He was doing better lately but that was probably too little too late. He said he wanted to return to Protoss in HotS, maybe he is luckier with it.

Karont3 seems to be a pretty credible theory, they said they would reruit new players soon, plus it's a latin team, then you say he's friend with LucifroN. Unless he signs with the italian team inFerno.

That's very unlikely. He was on InF before joining MyM and, as far as i know, Inferno is too little to provide a decent support for an international player. They are more focused on the italian scene.

Ladder means nothing, but just for information he was top16 a few times and top50 most of the time in 2012 (there was just a period in the summer when he was mind-broken and he felt down a bit). I think he's at least in the top 10 or 15 foreing terran.

Always wish him the best, my favorite foreigner terran. Really fun person, at times whiny, but saying he's very BM... Well I might've missed something, but usually he's just brutally honest, or rather says exactly what he thinks. When he says stuff like that, it doesn't really seem to me like it's coming from a bad place, that is not just to be a dick to someone.

I guess it's unlikely indeed, I put it on the table in case. But they have a partnership with the korean team dtG, that allowed them to recruit Sickness so they are maybe a little more focused to the international that we believe. But I'm not italian so I'm not familiar at all with inFerno.
