Rules
Cheating:
Cheating includes (but is not limited to):
- Posting after your death. You may make one farewell post, however, it cannot contain any information that may affect the game.
- Ruining the game by doing something like hand out your mafia member list to the town.
- Logging on to someone else's account to get their role or looking over someone's shoulder to get their role.
- Comparing role PM times to determine roles.
- Posting screenshots of any private communications (PMs, QT, IRC, Skype).
- Posting or sharing the contents of any PM you receive from a host.
- Getting yourself modkilled to help your team. Your non-majority-decided death may not be used as a bargaining chip.
- Signing up more than once using smurf accounts.
- Betting items outside of the game in exchange for in-game benefits.
- Sharing accounts with other players without checking with the host in advance.
- Breadcrumbing the specific phrasing of your role PM. Do not compare the phrasing in your role PM to prove your alignment. You may claim your role name or abilities, but you may not use the specific phrasing of your role PM.
- Posting a fake role PM phrased as if you received it from a host. You can still fake roleclaim, but you cannot make it look like you are posting a PM you received from a host.
- Attempting to access the mafia Quicktopic or IRC channel.
- Using encryption codes.
Posting Guidelines
Mod Font:
This is mod font. Please do not use it.
Activity:
There are no activity requirements. However, voting is mandatory.
Behavior:
Use your best judgment when attacking another player. If you are too hurtful, you will be warned. If you ignore my warning, you will be modkilled.
Issues:
Do not complain about flaming, cheating, or any other personal issue with the game in the thread. If you have an issue, send me a PM and it will be dealt with privately.
Questions:
Do not ask questions in the thread (send me a PM instead). If the answer is relevant for everyone, I will post the answer in the thread. Do not share the answer to any question or announce that you are going to ask a question.
Editing:
Editing is not allowed for any reason and can result in a modkill (even for a first offense).
Spam:
I don’t care if you spam for strategic reasons. Do not abuse this (using automated scripts/bots or posting extremely excessively). This does not mean that you may talk about unrelated things here. The thread is for discussing mafia.
Reporting Posts:
If you have a problem with how someone is posting, talk to the host, co-host, Flamewheel, or Mig before using your report button. Please do not use your report button for anything other than highly inappropriate posts which you feel are not being dealt with adequately.
Play to win:
This means you play your best to help your team win while you are alive and in the game. However, this does not mean that you should try to win by being a jerk to the other players so they all want to quit playing.
Replacements:
This also means that you cannot leave the game without a good reason without a ban. These situations will be dealt with on a case by case basis. If you need to leave the game, send me a PM. Announcing that you are requesting a replacement or threatening to leave the game is a modkillable offense. Just send me a PM. I will make replacements as long as I feel it is necessary.

Voting guidelines

Game-specific rules
Modkills:
This game follows the TL Mafia Ban List. If you are modkilled, your punishment will go beyond being eliminated from this game. Please refer to it for questions about your punishment. If you want to use this game to sit out your ban, please PM Flamewheel or post in the Ban List.
Clues:
There are no clues. Flavor does not signify anything.
PMs:
PMs and other out-of-thread communication methods are not allowed in this game, unless your role explicitly allows private communication.
Time Cycle:
This game will follow a 48 hour day/24 hour night cycle. In case I am not able to post around deadline, any votes after the deadline will not count and the game will be put on halt until the night post is up. The deadline is 01:00 GMT (+00:00). Actions and votes will be accepted up to and including the posted time, but not after.
For the night cycle, there is a one hour action resolution period. All actions must be in by 00:00 GMT (+00:00). You may continue to post after this time, but actions will not be accepted.

Setup Information
Overview:
This is a semi-open setup. The possible roles are known, while exact role counts will be hidden. Your role PM will only contain flavor and will not have any information on how your role works. Refer to this post for that information.
Town Roles
Vanilla Townie: You have no powers, except for your wits and your vote. Use them wisely.
Miller: You return guilty to investigations. Millers receive vanilla townie role PMs (they are not self-aware).
Cop: Each night, you may investigate one person and will receive either guilty or innocent as a result.
Jailkeeper: Each night, you may lock one player in your jail, protecting them from one KP and roleblocking them. You may not target yourself.
Vigilante: You have X bullets. Each night, you may use one bullet to deal one KP to a player of your choosing. Your bullets will never be refunded (if you are roleblocked, your bullet will not hit your target but it will still be used up).
Veteran: You will be protected from one KP (after that the protection will disappear). If you are roleblocked, your protection will not activate.
Mafia Roles
Mafia Goon: You have no powers, except for your wits and your vote. Use them wisely.
Mafia Godfather: You return innocent to investigations.
Mafia Rolecop: You may investigate one player each night to determine their role. Millers will appear as vanilla townie.
Mafia Roleblocker: Each night, you may roleblock one player.
Mafia Vigilante: You have X bullets. Each night, you may use one bullet to deal one KP to a player of your choosing. Your bullets will never be refunded (if you are roleblocked, your bullet will not hit your target but it will still be used up).
Additional Information
Notifications: Any player who is roleblocked or hit will be informed of this. No other notifications will be given.
Roleblock Interactions: Roleblocks resolve such that conflicts are minimized (if Roleblocker A targets Jailer B who targets player C only B would be roleblocked). If two players roleblock each other, they will both be roleblocked and receive notifications. Any player who is roleblocked will not be able to carry out their night actions.
Win Conditions: The town wins when all mafia are dead. The mafia win when they outnumber town, or nothing can prevent this from happening.
Mafia Powers: The Mafia have 1 KP per night, which cannot be roleblocked. Additionally, they may choose to delay their KP (sacrificing it for one night), in exchange gaining an additional KP the following night. This cannot be done on consecutive nights. Mafia may communicate with each other by any means of their choosing.

Wow this is a huge ban and all I did basically is use my ability suboptimally. Not participating in paranoid isn't enough of a ban? Chrono is going to take forever to end...then I'm going to have more bans...that is way too severe.

Ok ban me from greymist games forever..ban me forever from heavy theme games where there isn't
even a lynch. I just want to play normal mafia where you find the scum and you lynch them. And yes taking a long break is that bad. There's no where else for me to go. I have already been out of a game for so long.. since acme mini mafia. That is already a huge break.
