Nice to see a lot of the decent mapmakers around joining forces. There certainly was a lot of good mappers showing their stuff recently who hadn't been on a team, many of whom are included here. Good luck with the team. I only see good things coming from this.

Good luck though I'm not sure how you'll be able to pitch our maps at tournaments organizer.

Let's hope Blizzard decides to fire their entire staff that creates horrible maps and pays these guys instead.

Can we please get a HOTS Beta Map Making Contest?
It would be a shame if these guys didn't have a goal to strive for.

I'm not trying to be rude when I say this, so don't take this the wrong way...
Although it's always nice to see more friendly competition, the last thing we really need is another map-making team. What we need, as a mapping community, is sponsorship and people who actually give a crap about community maps on a regular basis.

It is a shame that I don't see really a lot of new maps in tournaments. Like max 1-2 new maps and very rarely. I think it's because they don't want to get an imbalanced map or play on maps pros aren't use to. I really don't know what kind of solution there is to this problem. I see lots of great maps but I don't see them get used.

A new map team does not hurt your desired goal does it...? I'm just happy to see positive responses in an SC2 General thread about maps.

Yeah, it doesn't really help in terms of getting tournaments to use maps, but teamwork can certainly help everyone make better maps, which is still important to remember even if the main difficulty for mappers right now is actually getting people with power to care.
