In the finals for the Korean Qualifiers for Starswars 7 (SW7), MMA defeated MarineKing 3:2 and will be appearing in the SW7 finals as the winner from the korean qualifiers. After the games, s.163.com and SW7 interviewed MMA. The Terran star from team Slayers expresses that this will be his first time in competiting in China, and is very excited about it. Regarding balance, MMA expresses that Zerg is very strong now, and hopes Blizzard would stop nerfing Terrans. Finally, MMA hopes to be able to win SW7.
Q: Congratulations to you on defeating MarineKing and winning the Korean qualifiers for SW7. Do give a short evaluation about the games against MarineKing.
A: Very happy to be able to defeat MarineKing, who has been on red hot form, especially with a score of 3:2, and with a comeback from being behind in the third game. It makes me all the more excited. I am very happy to be able to play such an entertaining and exciting series.
(Note: In the final game, MMA used three nukes to completely defeat MarineKing.)
Q: You're about to go to China to play. Have you ever been to China? What are your impressions of China?
A: It's my first time going to China, but I've heard that Starswars is a really reputable tournament in China. My impressions of China is that it's the country with the largest population, and I am really excited to be able to go to China.
Q: Previously, Mvp, MC, Tails, etc. have also taken part separately in several Chinese tournaments. As compared to tournaments in the West or tournaments in Korea, what are your views on Starcraft 2 tournaments in China?
A: I've never taken part in any Chinese tournaments, so I'm not sure, but I think it'll be really lively and bustling.
Q: Chinese players like XiGua and Loner have achieved pretty decent results in international tournaments. What's your evaluation on Chinese players?
A: I think they're players with really great potential. I also believe that they'll be able to achieve good results in international tournaments in a short amount of time.
Q: Recently in tournaments like GSL and MLG, Terran players have been starting to show signs of decline. What do you think is the hardest part for Terrans in the game's current state?
A: Yea. I feel that while buffing other races, the least they should do is not nerf Terran at the same time. If they did not keep nerfing Terran, we wouldn't be having the situation that we are having now. They've always been buffing other races and nerfing Terrans. This will only result in Terran not being able to achieve any good results.

Q: TvZ hasn't been too good recently. What sort of Terran opening will you choose to go with nowadays? How do you control the Zerg creep spread?
A: Zergs are really, really very strong!
Not long ago, I was complaining to a very strong and famous Zerg player that TvZ was really difficult, and he also said that it was really easy to play against Terran as Zerg. Hellions have the same range as queens, and it becomes really difficult to control the Zerg creep T_T
Q: You've already won the Iron Squid tournament this year, but you haven't been performing too well in GSL. What goals will you be setting for yourself?
A: My first goal is to get back to Code S as soon as possible and attain good results. Next, I wish to win the overall tournament for SW7 :D
Q: Your rival, DRG, has already won a GSL tournament. How would you evaluate your future games with him?
A: I am very happy to be able to be rivals with him. As a professional gamer, it is a really good thing to have a strong opponent. That way, we can stimulate and encourage each other.

Q: GSTL is starting soon. You'll be fighting alongside EG players this time. What are your hopes for this GSTL?
A: It's definitely to win the tournament. EG has many famous players, and I also believe in my own team mates. I believe that we will all do really well!
Q: SPL's Starcraft 2 tournament is also officially underway. As compared to GSL players, what do you think are the strengths and weaknesses of Kespa players? How long do you think they'll need to reach the standards of the current professional gamers?
A: Having to balance 2 games at the same time is a really tough thing for players. It's very hard to practise for 2 games at the same time. But I feel that if they were to put down Starcraft 1, and focus on practising on Starcraft 2, I think they'll catch up to Starcraft 2 players really fast.
Q: Finally, share your goals for SW7 and any final words for your fans in China.
A: My goal for SW7 is to win the tournament, but what's more important is to play exciting and entertaining games.
This is my first time playing in a Chinese tournament. I hope to leave a good impression with the Chinese audience. I also hope that more people will be able to turn up at the competition location to cheer for me!
