Its not a bad layout but the map needs some more textures and doodads.

Concept of the map looks good, problem is that it's way too big. You'rewasting a lot of space with those big holes. Also 4 HY bases are a bit too much for my taste^^

I added more doodads, and I dont agree that the map is too big. Its smaller then Tal'Darim and has the exact same number of expansions. Also, whats an HY base? Btw, yea the textures took me a LONG time :D

I think HY stands for high yield, or gold mineral expansions.

I like the map but the texturing is a bit samey... looks like a tartan table cloth. I would suggest simplifying the textures in the main bases to make them stand out. And I think you could work on the textures of the edge of the space platform.
Also, I agree with Flop, two high yield expansions is plenty. Otherwise, keep at it.

You could remove the high yields and instead have them between the horizontal position spawns.

the problem with making them horizontal is theres a ridiculous amount of open space. I have enough of it already. Also, I thought that the golds were in a very open position, so thats why I made those expansions HY. In my opinion, and some of my friends who are in high masters the golds are very vulnerable and its extemely hard to hold both the gold and 3rd at the same time, especially if youre going mech. And even if youre zerg, their army can just waltz in from the center, quickly snipe it and move back. But in any case, if enough people complain, then I'll just change them into normal expos :D

Also it's not really about the size itself but more about the rush distance which is too long in cross position. In the other positions it would be upper limit but probably ok.

im sorry, i really dont like to argue, but tal'darim, most of the area is playable, but on my map probly a quarter of the playable area is empty space. I measured, and the exact area of the actual platform is 200 by 140, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Oh also, I checked with the analyzer, the rush distance cross spawn on my map is 207, compared to tal' darims 186. So yea, it is quite big :/ 11.2% larger, in fact.
