GGL does not discriminate.
any country can play in it, whether it be Canada, USA, Australia, France (eww)
some games will get live lan finals, and others are getting online finals, i keep asking about live lan finals but i keep getting the same answer.
Just because there wont be Live lan finals for sc, doesnt mean you shoulndt take part in the event, most people play better from home anyways, and the finals will be held on an anti-hack server, so no worry's about that.
As for the Americup, if you dont make it, you can still compete in Opencup.
quik definition of the two cups: AmeriCup: people who are invited to the league. OpenCup: opencup is for people not invited to americup.
if you're aware how EuroCup works, then you should pretty much get the idea how AmeriCup works.

so who are going to be invited ? Europeans too?
|
oh boy, i had said who is allowed to play in it in the post above Twisted's, but i dont mind saying it again.
Any country can play in it, GGL does not discriminate.
when you're signing up, it asks for Justification, it's basically asking why they should pick you, so put some accomplishments you've done.
you will see it ask for team names and teams blah blah, skip that, thats for other games, 1:1 games dont need to worry about it.
|
how are they basing their invitations for the league
id like to play, but playing in a ladder is a pain in the ass =o would be fun to have a purpose in playing bw for a while
|
its gonna mostly be past events won, etc... being in ggl events will help, like pride, pyrr, froz, artosis, etc.
that's what you list under Justification.
i suggest all of you good players (you know who you are) signing up and putting some good accomplishments in the Justification box, so that it will look good on your part, then GGL will chose the best suited for the invite spots, it's quality over quantity, so not everyone will be picked.
we've gotten asked by a few top gamers so far, most important thing you need to do is SIGN UP!

GGL is hosted on Battle.Net? US.East?

edit- correcting myself, these are last seasons rules, the AmeriCup rules havnt been announced yet.
Server - The Global Gaming League uses the same server as pgtour.net, BNET-X is an anti-hack server that is updated often, you must download the BNET-X Launcher at http://www.pgtour.net/downloads/BNet-XLauncher.exe, after creating an account at www.pgtour.net you must start the launcher and enter the same login/password you created at pgtour.net, join channel ggl to meet up with your opponent. If the BNET-X server is down you must use Battle.net.
