The Machine

Well this will be my competition entry for the 3 player maps

However, this is the first real attempt at a 3 player map and I really had no idea how to go about it, so I applied a 1v1 map mentality to it. That might have been the wrong thing to do tbh.
Also I found out that its REALLY HARD to make a 3 player map, additionally I was half way through this map when that handy thread came out on how to make one (face Palm) so i carried on with the long slow and much more inaccurate drawing it from scratch on the editor.

Though I think I caught the issues and timeings are the same between expos and thier counterparts. But no doubt that for a first try I have probably missed something somewhere.

Either way I'm gonna enter it coz I dont wanna look at making another 3player map for a while.

At the very least I hope its fun for people to play when I finally release publically. (Are you allowed to release it publically if you going to enter for the competition?)

Fixed Gold mineral Patches
Re ajusted spawn Minerals
Adjusted Ramp at 12 o'clock Spawn
Re-touched some textures in the centre.
Further retouching of textures
Changed the Angle of the lighting


Theme
I tried to go for a Sci-Fantasy/steampunk kinda theme as its been something I've been wanting to try for a long time. Theres a giant mysterious machine that does... something!!. Well at least it does blow bubbles... seriously it does. I did manage to only use 1 Bel'Shier texture as well (small bricks), but it was so tempting to use the others coz I almost always end up using half that pallet.

The top right gold base has 8 mineral patches while the other 2 have 7. Very nice looking map though.

I'd pull the right main's minerals out a bit farther, to match the others and help prevent cannon cheese.

Looks good man, definitely your style!

The top main's ramp needs to jut to the right to be fair and balanced to the other two bases.

Gotta say man, i think you've got some obsession with making doodads larger than life - thank god theres a size limit. lol

omg I hate that its limited. If it wasnt that waterfall and cave would be twice as large and I would have added a mountain range. Though I guess that limit keeps me from going completely overkill.

Whilst I'm going over this map I'm currently working on new one, its a slightly new urban theme which I havent seen anyone do yet.

I wont be releasing this publically until its done in the MOTM competition (which you should check out coz there is some awesome entries). I think i get disqualified if i do?
