1) The first TvT final in Starleague history
From PKO in 1999 to this Ever Starleage, the 14 finals have never once been a matchup between two terrans. It will also be the first terran winner in 4 Starleagues, the last being Olympus Starleague last year. The victor will be the 6th terran user to win a Starleague, joining Slayers_'Boxer' (2 times), Sync, NaDa, and Xellos.
2) The second time in history that two members of the same team are meeting in the finals.
The first was the 2002 Nate Starleague final between Hanbit's Sync and H.O.T.Forever. In particular, it is the second time for OOv this year, who faced teammate Kingdom in the MSL final.
3) Boxer: will set new record despite win or loss
For Boxer, this is his 5th Starleague final, the others being 2001 Hanbisoft, 2001 Coca-cola, 2001 Sky, 2002 Sky. Thus, he has the unbelievable history of making 5 finals out of the 10 Starleagues he has entered. In his last 4 finals, he has a 50% winning percentage, winning twice and finishing as the runner-up twice.
If he wins this upcoming final, he will pass Garimto for the most victories in a Starleague, with 3.
On the other hand, even if he loses he will pass KTF's Yellow for the record for most runner-up finishes with 3.
4) "Internal Fight Expert" iloveOOv
On 8/29 this year, iloveOOv won the MSL by beating teammate Kingdom. Exactly three months later, his opponent in the Starleague final is teammate Boxer. It is improbable for two teammates to meet in a final even once in their lifetimes, but iloveOOv has accomplished the feat twice in one year.
Also, iloveOOv finished in 3rd place in his first Starleague appearance, and has assured at least a 2nd place finish. He is the third progamer, along with Boxer and KTF's Nal_rA, to finish in the top 3 in their first two consecutive Starleagues.
If he can claim victory in the Starleague, he will be the first in history to lay claim to 4 OGN titles, including the Proleague "King of Rookies" title, most Proleague 1v1 victories, and overall Proleague victory.
