Hi There,
It might be actually doable within SC2gears, but I have no clue how it could work out at all.
Anyways:
I am a Silver - Level Player recognizing all I have to worry about right now is macro. I want to improve and therefore try to analyze my replays. So here is what I do, picked it up in a daily and the excellent thread on here, I guess.
I watch the replay a couple of times in x8 speed and stop&rewind whenever I skipped worker production, got supply blocked, when my money got high etc. and note the exact time it began and stopped + have a look from FP in normal speed what was going on shortly before and in that timeframe and note that too.Next time, I might think to myself while micoing units, that I better should not stop making workers and supply. Pretty basic stuff still, as you see.
The problem is: it takes so much damn time, that I just can't spend on it. Therefore my wish: I'd like to have a software, that just does the data analysis for me. Something like giving me a list of all timeframes, where I did not produce a worker or was supply blocked. Best comes with a filter, to eliminate everything like under 5 seconds or whatever you wish. At the bottom it sums up all those seconds after filtering and divides it by total game time. Or it even shows it in a graph over time and the average.
That would be a really neat indicator to have, the percentage of game time, you didn't do the very basics well.
That way, I could just go through a replay, recognizing, when I definitely should worry about macro more and try to concentrate on that more in the next couple of games. If the indicator drops, I obviously suceeded and can watch a few replays then and see, what I could improve upon next. If not...rinse and repeat...
Anyone aware / able to do / interested in such kind of thing?
What other indicators could you think of in terms of performance-measurement?
Cheers TL, you are awesome!!
