Live report goers are a culture in itself within Team Liquid. Quite a few of us think that these particular threads enhance the game and its enjoyability a lot, while others think these are essential for checking out Proleague/OSL/MSL results and getting recommendations about which games they might want to watch at a later time. The Team Liquid Player Database usually links to a Live Report as well. And of course, there are those who don't give a damn.
Q: "But I knew all that, why did you make this thread?" Because I'm trying to go an additional mile in giving LR threads some additional content. I've read Q&A-s/hype threads/bashings that get me really hyped for the matches, and hype is what the community might need in these uncertain times.
That didn't answer my question, mustaju.
Well, I'm fairly new to the community and fairly unaware of a lot of the histories of a lot of the players and teams. I know that there are tons of people out there who already contributed, namely Ryo and Lightwip, moopie, Ideas, and of course Carnivorous Sheep and swanized. The additional content I was able to produce with them was entertaining and some of it even started later, private discussions. I'd like to create more of it, and that's why I created a thread where selfappointed, but also knowledgable fans of teams/players could offer Live Report thread makers a helping hand. We have plenty of new people drawn in by SC2, and to them(and almost certainly me as well), I imagine, these segments are of great help. Please, contribute! Feedback is also appreciated.
BW Teams in alphabetical order:
Air Force ACE
Hite Entus
jalstar
Hwaseung OZ
swanized, n.DieJokes
KT Rolster
BLinD-RawR, moopie
MBCGame HERO
Ryo
Samsung KHAN
Lightwip, hacklebeast
SK Telecom T1
seRapH, hacklebeast, Lightwip, jalstar
STX SouL
mustaju (though I won't be too encyclopedic in my knowledge), moopie, thopol, Carnivorous Sheep
WeMade FOX
Milkis, DropBear
Woongjin Stars
swanized, sixfour
It is to be presumed that the requests should be sent with a lot of time to spare, especially since time zones delay communication and not everyone lurks on Team Liquid. You can be part of several groups, but people depend on at least some sort of experience or research, so don't overdo it. Thirdly, please don't spam PM-s to the people who decide to help.
Finally, Thank you! The entire BW community has enriched my entire year I spent here. I hope I can do my part to contribute as well. (special thanks to the streamers and uploaders!)
Edit: Thanks to all who have joined this initiative!

There's also a group of people that think that Live report threads are only an excuse to up the post count.
But I like this idea of giving more content to Live report threads very much, and if I was enough knowledgeable about the teams and the players, I would help.
Btw, you're doing a really good job with Live report threads. Keep up the good work.

I'd also like to add that few years ago, when Livestreams were scarce, reading the Live report threads was so much fun. Even today, they capture little moments that is the very soul of Teamliquid. Reading through all the reactions and feelings of people while watching their favorite players play is really an awesome experience. I'm also happy that there isn't much fighting and pointless discussion going on in Live report threads (speaking of BW Live report threads of course). And I just hope the Live threads continue to be as awesome as they are, because sometimes they're as much fun as actually watching the games live.

my internet dies halfway through the month(almost every month) and I sit at TL looking at LR threads and debating weather I should flame konadora for not streaming games which are not SKT games.LR threads give the same excitement as watching the stream and a good LR thread(like yours mustaju <3) just narrows the gap even more.
also I would like to help spreading all of my knowledge(not an expert, but I know shit okay?) and fanboyism(LOTS OF IT,ALL OF IT!!!) for KT.

Thanks, BlinD-RawR. ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif) Also just for confirmation, multiple fans of a single team would be best, since even the most zealous fan can be busy. Don't be afraid to list yourself as a fan of a team that has already been picked.

Well I've actually been here for only 2 years, but I'd be happy to throw that into the mixing pot in addition everything I know about the scene before that that I've absorbed in my time here.
So yes, I'm in for SKT. Now if I only knew what you wanted...

Doesn't disciple often do SKT1 LR Threads too? I love the little write-ups you do at the start of the LR Threads alright mustaju, it adds hype to it.

QFT, most of the times I read the LR even when I'm watching VODs, most fellow TL'ers have more insight of the game than I do.

In addition to the regular pieces of LR threads (Lineups, results, recommended games), there have been other sections, such as Q&A-s, Players Spotlights, Fanboy predictions (and the OP's predictions, of course), all aimed at giving more content to those who enjoy reading it, and who want to get a bit more out of the match. A simple Q&A can get people more hyped or their own thinking process going while they enjoy the match. However, I myself have felt rather incapable of speaking for other teams, thus I invited other fans to give their own opinions/predictions/write something about their team. This thread was made for me (and for the other LR thread makers) to be able to contact fans who'd like to participate in adding additional content to the LR threads.

I think its a little too late for doing this, a lot of ppl moved away to SC2. Having that said, even if you indeed manage to improve the content of the LR threads, it wont bring ppl back just because there is more hype. I did a ton of OPs in the past, VIP predictions, interviews, gfx the lot. I would do it again but on special occasions - for now I think the only and most important thing for the OPs is they to be presented in a clean, crisp, easy to comprehend way

Reading over LR threads on epics games is always fun. Reading over LR threads on completely fail games is more fun, love LR threads for that reason, I can see what other people thought even on a game I couldn't watch live.

I recognise a lot of the names of people who post on LR Threads and know who's got great insight and who's comments I respect. I used never follow them before but now I'd be F5ing away while watching the game. I really do think it brings the what is now fairly small BW community together.

Fanboyism and hype for the win! If you are a fan of a team, dont ever be shy to show it to the world!
That said, live report threads (and people who make them) are awesome! It's so much fun reading the comments of other TL people during matches especially when a player makes nice plays or fails hard. Not being able to watch streams while at work sucks but LR threads make me feel like I'm watching the games myself. Huge props to people who continue to exert effort in making these threads because it keeps BW spirit alive in TL. My love goes to all of you people.

This is an interesting initiative, but if I pegged myself down as a fan, I feel like I'd actually have to be serious. I have to admit that when I put some crazy-ass predictions in the OP and a part of them comes true, I get this nice feeling. On the other hand, these predictions don't exactly take notice of who is in what form at the exact moment, so they're pretty misleading a lot of the time. Apply the same logic for any pre-game hype, and there you go

And I don't think that original poster is on some kind of crusade to bring people back from SC2. I think the main point of this initiative is to make things more enjoyable for people who stayed, as well for the new people who find the BW scene interesting.
And I seriously don't understand what you meant with your "it's a little too late" remark.

I might be late, but there's some new interest in the game, and some that remains from a while back. I'm also not expecting to bring people back, or to write a long essay before every single game.
But the things I've done till now seem to be appreciated by the community that still remains, and it doesn't take a lot of effort, except for finding willing people. If I can do that, and want to do that, why wouldn't I?

However making a second post with the interviews/polls/etc would not detract from the quality of the OP.

Im just saying that if you want to make smth like this : http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=94865
it wont be worth the effort. prominent TLers are harder to get these days cause trust me on this 90% of them moved completely to SC2 and are not watching PL at all. as for teh predictions there must be some back story to go with them, for example kona did a streak of ridiculous prediction and none of them were right, so the meme about the kona's curse was born.
I dont want to discourage you in anyway, please go ahead , I just think the effort is too big for the effect you are going to achieve. but feel motivated to prove me wrong

LR threads--- the forum equivalent of doing 'roids.
I don't mean that at all, just thought it sounded funny. I appreciate LR threads (except for like MLG where you get 500 pages in one day).
