Q: Thoughts on the win? A: I lost an earlier match, but I won in the ace match, which was fitting repayment for the trust I put in my teammates and coaches after my loss.
Q: This is the first time the team has won twice in a row this season. A: I was truly worried at the outset, but the hard work of our players and coaches have brought us this result. And we couldn't have done it without the fans' support. I hope everyone continues to cheer us on, and we'll do well to repay you.
Q: In your first game of the day, did you not know of Baby's hidden expo at 3? A: I didn't even know of it when the game ended. However, even if I had known of it, I wouldn't have had a winning strategy to take advantage. From the start, that game was rough for me. Baby plays too well.
Q: However, in the ace match, you found Pure's hidden expo quickly. A: The only thing a protoss could have done in that situation was hidden expo.
Q: Your last opponent in R1 will be KT. A: We're 1-9 head-to-head against KT. But now it's a Bo7 rather than a Bo5, so for us this is a good opportunity. They are definitely stronger than my mom [T/N the slang lost me here?], but we have Hyun, who ended Flash's TvZ streak. I hope he will face Flash [T/N what I originally had there was the Chinese nickname for Flash] again. We eagerly anticipate our meeting.
Q: Soon, you will be playing in SPL and the individual leagues. Is it busy? A: I've had a lot of these types of experiences, so I'm used to it. I do hope that the group selections commence quickly, though. I love the mood of the group selection, so I hope it starts soon.
Q: Anything else? A: The weather has been cold lately, but our team is the only one without a winter uniform. All the other 9 teams have them, so I hope ours arrive quickly.
Everyone else (Jaehoon, Han, Hyun)
Q: Thoughts on your team's first pair of consecutive wins this season? >Jaehoon: I'm very happy, and I hope we can keep winning. >Han: I'm glad we got consecutive wins, and that my win helped the team. >Hyun: I'm happy to get these two wins with my teammates.
Q: Jaehoon, when you were harassed by the enemy's dropship, you faced a crisis. >Jaehoon: It actually wasn't that bad. At that point, I felt I had already won, so I didn't care as much. I had already dealt a mortal blow to the opponent, so all I needed to do was send a wave of units over and finish it. I didn't play the same way I practiced, but it went well.
Q: Jaehoon, why didn't you follow the strategy you practiced? >Jaehoon: I originally guessed I would play Baby, but it turned out to be Major. I was a bit nervous since I didn't know what playstyle my opponent would use, so I altered my own strategy on the spot.
Q: Han, why did you use a proxy gate? >Han: Central Plains is already mostly PvP. However, I feel like the games are always depressingly standard, and I was racking my brains over how to make it more interesting. I was also influenced by our new team member Lazy; he recommended this cheese to me. Thanks to him for his suggestion.
Q: Han, your cheese was scouted early, and it was blocked with static defense [T/N unsure] >Han: It's tough to beat this cheese with static defense. I didn't fail with it even once in practice. If the opponent went 1gate, 2nex, I would pretty much win all the time.
Q: Hyun, were your losses terrible following the zealot attack at your 9 o'clock base? >Hyun: I lost a lot of workers, but since I had a lot of bases, I was confident that if I pumped a round of workers to regain my econ, I could grab air dominance.
Q: Hyun, did you not feel you were in a position of weakness? >Hyun: I never once thought I was in a troublesome spot. But I thought my opponent would only harass with corsairs, so when I saw corsairs and a shuttle I was nervous. However, the first time I blew up that shuttle was the most successful point of my game [T/N unsure, could also mean he blew it up at 1 o'clock]. That was the reason I won.
Q: Hyun, Sea said he was awaiting your match with Flash. >Hyun: I don't think I'll play match. I have that feeling. But if I do face him it'll be interesting. Those types of games are my favorite: if I win I'll be praised to heaven, but if I lose it's no big deal. He's the strongest opponent, so I won't feel pressured.
Q: Your next opponent will be KT. >Jaehoon: There isn't anyone in particular I want to fight, but I hope to at least steer clear of Flash. He's way too beastly, and I've never beaten him. I hope he is careful and dodges me (haha). >Han: I don't really care who I face. I was eliminated from the individual leagues, so I must now concentrate on SPL.
Q: Anything else? >Jaehoon: I practice until very late every night, but the coaches still accompany me the whole time. They always discuss strategy with me and research methods, so I'm really thankful for them. Pusan has also been mentoring me. I hope we continue our win streak. >Han: A lot of the newer players have been practicing with me, so thanks to them. I hope everyone will keep cheering us on. I also wish for the coaches to continue working hard so they can lead our taem. >Hyun: The weather is cold, so I hope everyone stays healthy. Right now, all of us are working hard, so all that's left is to actually get the wins. Everyone, please keep supporting us.

And this part is really surprising, I thought he actually saw the ninja expo afterwards near the end of the game? Guess not.
No, when the game ended and they were showing the replay, the obs checked Sea's vision throughout the game, he never scouted it. Even when he found out about 12 and 1.5 he still had no idea about the ninja 3rd.

ahh I see, thanks for the info. I can only imagine the look on his face when his team mates told him about the hidden expo.

idk about the first one the second one is the chinese nickname for Flash, it's standard among the KR->CN translators

I think "definitely stronger than my mom" is a typo from wooyeon( who translated most interviews to chinese) and chinese call Flash as 教主, "the founder of a religion" ( of turtling)

Sea: But our team has 'mother zerg' [he literally says 'mother zerg'], the eomeoni [mother] of zergs, Hyun hyung. Everyone remembers he beat Flash on Matchpoint previously.
하지만 우리 팀에는 '마더저그', 저그의 어머니 (고)석현이 형이 있다. 예전에 매치포인트에서 이영호 선수를 이긴 경기를 다들 많이 기억해주시더라.
Sea also mentions in the dailyesports version that he thought it was a pity Hyun didn't qualify for the OSL ceremony. He said he watched Hyun's Ro36 matches like it was his own match. Also Jaehoon thanks Mumyung for staying late with him while he practices.
thanks so much for translating! it means so much to an mbc fanboy like me~
with matches like this, mbc's really showing hope of having an actual lineup outside of Light and Sea. I don't know of any time I've seen MBC come off of both Sea and Light losing and still manage to win the match.
also ryo, what is your jaehoon quote in your signature?
