If you have a bunch of medivacs selected and you want to start dropping from all of them you have to press d for every single medivac you have selected right?
Because I assure you that ain´t just happening for me and I hate losing games after I lose the whole drop because half the medivacs become death traps for the poor marines. I´d have like 5 medivacs full and I´d spam them to unload like 20 times and still few of them would just fly around in circles & shit. Yes I could select every single medivac one by one but when there is a bunch of mutas etc. blocking the view it´s no longer that easy or fast.
I searched but didn´t find anything: a way to drop in a way that I can be sure all of the guys actually land some day. Is there a way/key combination & hack or is it just a bug or do I need to spam the D button atleast another 20 times to make it work.
and yes, I am a noob

theoretically if you have all your medivacs in one control group and tehy are all standing over land.
press d and then click somewhere on the ground, not the medic, they will all stop and unload the rines.
if a medivac is moving and you press d and then click the medivac, it will keep moving and drop in a path
|
I think you only need to press it once.
Maybe your hitting patrol instead and making them spin around and around :D
|
you only need to press it once, but all medivacs have to be fairly near the target to actually unload.
You can also click d on the medivac to parachute drop

How close are we talking, once never does the trick, I get the same result if I click on a medivac or on the ground. wtf if no one has this problem there is something wrong with my gear/brains......

theoretically... an often misused word...
the word, theoretically, should only be used in the context if you are unable to perform a certain experiment to determine a result. therefore, "in theory", a certain procedure should work a certain way, theoretically speaking.... however, since we all have access to SC2, it is no longer theoretical.
theoretically... word used by douche bags all over the internet to sound smart...

QFT. I'd also like to add that in practice, not theory, people who say "theoretically" are both lazy and making a claim without any factual reason.
"Theoretically" = "I think it should and might work like this."

Theoretically vocab douchebags wouldn't derail threads.

Heres a bad habit i developed when dropping units with medivacs. I kept selecting all my units, stim, and left clicking + A which made the medivacs stop unloading and heal instead.
|
If you want them to all drop with only one keypress, you have to hit D and then select a drop point. This will cause the medivacs to move to the location and drop the units (as space permits). If you're trying to unload on the move, you must press D for each medivac and then click ON each medivac.
|
I hate how units try to follow medivacs say I have 12 rines and I select them all to load into the dropship 8 will load and then the other 4 try to follow it so annoying. Or like when you have the medivac and the units selected and you right click the medivac it will try to move, unlike broodwar when the dropship would attempt to move closer to the units.

not only medivacs but all drops function the same way

Even so, terran are by far the most frequent paratroopers

How the f has this thread been allowed to continue like this? All the posts here are absolutely terrible and the question was answered by the first post.
This isn't your blog. There is clearly a blog section on this site.
Stop spamming shitty posts on TL.

if you want to make sure they all drop, click unload the ground and as theyre reaching the destination, d click on the medivacs so they start dropping and if you miss a few theyll drop at the place you told them too. also make sure theres enough space for the marines to drop on
