My computer is Zerg themed, I use all of these wallpapers at the same time (DeskSpace), I'd like to share them with you guys.
I did not do the artwork for the pictures! They were taken from Google, most were created by some guy named Mr. Jack (an SC artist).
The pictures originally looked like something like this:
I thought they looked nice but too boring for desktop wallpapers, so I tweaked them a bit.
All I did was put multiple pictures together, change the resolutions, flip some images, alter the colors, alter the shadows and darkness, & create grey backgrounds.
If anyone has any suggestions please tell me what I should change.
1440 x 900
1440 x 900
1440 x 900
1440 x 900
1440 x 900
Which one do you like the best?

|
Can you upload them in 1900x1080 or 1900x1200? :DDD Awesome work!
|
I'll try. Might take another day or two though.
|
def bomb wallpapers would like to see more work from him
|
Mr.Jack used to work for Starcraft-Source.com, he recently got hired as an artist for Blizzard. Congrats to him.
|
Yeah Blizzard recently hired Mr. Jack. He's got a lot of other stuff on the internet.
|
|
I like the Queen one best personally.
|
Is this your work or are they from google? I recognize the last one, but the others?
|
made the ultra my background, thnx
|
I would love those desktop backgrounds, if they didn't say "ZERG" on them. Seems kind of redundant imo.

The Style reminds me a bit of the early Spawn Comics.

@ leeznon i dont want to be a fun killer BUT there is one really really important thing:
did you ask the creator for permission to use/modify/post his work? i hope you did!
if you didnt i advise you to take all this stuff down anywhere posted/linked becaus this could get you into serious trouble:
Proprietary Rights in Site Content; Limited License
All content on the Site and available through the Service, including designs, text, graphics, pictures, video, information, applications, software, music, sound and other files, and their selection and arrangement (the "Site Content"), are the proprietary property of the Company, its users or its licensors with all rights reserved. No Site Content may be modified, copied, distributed, framed, reproduced, republished, downloaded, scraped, displayed, posted, transmitted, or sold in any form or by any means, in whole or in part, without the Company's prior written permission, except that the foregoing does not apply to your own User Content (as defined below) that you legally post on the Site.......

just because u found it on google doesnt mean that copyrights disappear.

He's right OP. If you're not careful you could have one of THESE on your hands.
Seriously though --- while I believe it to be respectful and prudent to inform the creators of images you find on the internet, has anyone actually been sued over modifying art like this for personal use / use by a fan community? I would personally prefer not to spend my life quaking in my boots, waiting for lawsuits that will never come / will be entirely frivolous.

Definitely should have asked Mr--jack first, you could have at least contacted him over his DA profile.

Art stealing is a major offense, although he'd probably be fine with it if you asked nicely. Nonetheless, he DOES work for blizzard now, so most of the Zerg fanart are now probably owned by blizzard anyhow.

i totaly agree. this the reason for my post. getting your artwork stolen is so anoying and insulting when you spent hours and hours on it. under normal circumstances i think Mr.Jack would give the permison (its common between artist and somehow makes you proud) but as he now works for blizzard you are moving on VERY thin ice.
i advise this to you with the best intensions in my heart as you obvious put some work into it and just want to share it. this is a good thing and you even contribute to the creator. so i assume you just dont know how expensive your good intension could go.
