Spoilers ahead.....
So if anyone watched today's MSL, a weird popup with a message from Flash appeared, saying 'I will meet you in the finals'. This was at the end of the third set where Jaedong was on the verge of victory.
This is at the moment a hot topic in the Korean forums. Mostly from what I've seen, it is netizens harshly criticizing the PD's of the MSL for turning e-Sports into what is pretty much a 'joke sport', like professional wrestling.
Just wondering what opinions people have on it.

It was lame but it sounds like the Korean netizens are making way too big a deal about it.

it was pretty weird but uh FLASH JAEDONG so I don't really care

It was weird but I liked it once I could figure out what it was. It's just like those things at the bottom of the screen during sporting events about shows on the same network. Even the superbowl has those so it doesn't make e-Sports a joke at all. Except during the super bowl its worse because it might be about some totally unrelated sitcom while this was about the next game in the tournament. I didn't think it was that bad but whatevs. I don't watch wrestling so I don't know what the wrestling precedent would be.

yeah I think they went over there heads with that one. That was a classic WWE move. lol.

Well, it was highly unprofessional, I think at least that should be obvious.

I thought it was part of the buffering-lag-whatever from the stream, but I suppose it wasn't. Why does this make e-sports into a "joke sport"? Just because they tried to add a little drama to the tournament? I'm not against this thing they did, as long as they don't overuse it in the future, I think it's ok.
I'm sure they'd have aired that pop-up anyway sometime during the decisive game of the series (game 3, 4, or 5 - it turned out to be game 3).

advertising the biggest match of the season like this is perfectly acceptable imo
|
Thought it was kinda clear to people that the progamers aren't hateful mortal enemies, like the fans are... So what's the big deal with throwing in a few jokes?
Unprofessional, yes. But nothing to get that riled up about, imo :/

i thought it was pretty funny

It's just hype. Not a big deal really. Too bad they didn't do this last season ha ha ha. Calm: "Kwanro, I will meet you in the finals." O_O
|
It was rude for Kal , but the hype was pretty good :D . They thought that Jaedong was for sure going to win the third game and the rivalry beetween the undisputed 2 best players in the world deserves hype .
Unless it said " i will meet one of you in the finals " it's fair for kal even thought i think it was still a good hype . I feel bad for Kal , but not because of the pop - up , but the way the series turn out for him (raped )

Lol I was sure that roffles did that and thought it was pretty cool and funny...
Would have never thought that was actually from MBC
Honestly though, I still think it was pretty cool
JD vs Flash fuck yeah

I sorta felt that way, but it didn't say "Jaedong" on it or anything, so I guess it wasn't completely counting Kal out.
At least they waited for a break in the action before they did it. The amount of times they cut to a player when stuff is happening makes me cry.

I didn't like it. The bo5 wasn't even over, rude for Kal and pretty unnecessary

it was over, kal just didnt gg yet
