MBC has been engineering their tournament towards this point for the last few seasons, and now that they have the huge matchup that their executives have been demanding and that everyone wants to see they could at least try to maintain some semblance of professionalism.

I wouldnt compare this "drama" thing like a WWE show or similar, it just make the MSL FINALS HYPE so much INTENSE

I think it is rude and unacceptable, and as people have pointed out before, similar to offensive gging. (even though it didnt say Jaedong vs Flash is coming, but implied that the series was over, which at 2-0 and JD winning is very similar) edit: for all the people saying that "it was over, just Kal didnt gg yet": Do you often say offensive gg? Don't you see what's the problem with that?

To me, it's along the same lines of what you see in the playoffs in baseball - if a team is looking to close out a series, once the final game is fairly well decided, they'll start talking as though the winning team has already won. They look stupid if the opposing team rallies and takes the game/series, but I think it was intended as more of a gesture along those lines.

True, but the commentators never actually impede with your own viewing of the game that is being played at that moment. They don't overlay some cheesy image that makes it difficult to tell if that last pitch was a ball or a strike. Anything that detracts with the enjoyment of what is currently going on in the game is going too far.

unfortunate that the Koreans are responding to it harshly. i'm not saying it was a correct/smart thing to do, but i wouldn't look down on it.. I mean.. it's pretty much their sport and they've fostered it to this stage and prolly many more stages in years to come. I personally thought it was silly, but i noticed it, after Kal tried to attack Jaedongs bottom left base, and JD had sooo much defense, Kal pulled out, yet was still flanked by JD's support troops, many lings and lurkers and all of 'em were spread perfectly for v storms.. and right then I thought he'd gg pretty soon. So ya, it did seem 1 sided or pretty much over at that time, which might have prompted the screen.. but y'know.. its almost like the offensive gg, like Jaedong typing to Kal 'gg' at that moment, and Koreans prolly woulda responded the same.. It was like, assuming at that moment that the game was over and no point to play anymore. Props to Kal though, he did do pretty well from that point on, and had a pretty good comeback move etc. However, didn't the Koreans try soemthing like this earlier, in leagues? Where the seeded players chose who they wanted to be in their groups.. and got to say a little catch phrase or something? Like Nada chose july or something, because he wanted revenge.. and Nal_rA chose Kingdom or something.. etc. etc. I think they've tried to spice up the scene with drama and theatrics like that, but they're just too calm and disciplined and mannered of a culture to add that "shit-talking" aspect like professional wrestling.. which is just soo painfully aweful and fake ..

Even amongst SC fans it has to be "OSL is more professional MSL sucks" blah blah It's the match of the decade, the biggest final in 3 years, everyone wanted it, and it's not going to hinder e-sports' development so what's the big deal.
