Letter from the Editor
Dear Readers,
Everyone's leaving... Nooooooo...
With that said, there's a whole bunch of people that have offered to take the places of the leaving people. Apparently lots of people want to do troll booth, so I think I'll just let you guys fight to the death.
Also, I didn't want to spend time parsing the Troll Booth for duplicates, so you guys can enjoy up to 4 times as much troll. I think Zulu's blog may be in there four times.

Curried Cauliflower soup
* 1 tablespoon butter
* 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
* 1 medium onion, roughly chopped
* 1 tablespoon curry powder
* 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
* 1 head cauliflower, cut in florets
* 1 medium white potato, peeled and cut in chunks
* 6 cups chicken stock
* Salt to taste
* 1/2 cup parsley, minced
* 1/4 cup chives, finely chopped
Directions
Heat butter and oil in heavy soup pot. Stir in onion and cook over medium heat until onions soften, about 10 minutes.
Stir in curry and cayenne. Mix well and cook for one minute. Stir in cauliflower and potato. Toss well to coat with curry mixture and sauté for two minutes, stirring.
Add stock. Bring to a boil. When boiling, lower heat and simmer until cauliflower is soft, about 20 - 30 minutes.
Let cool slightly. Strain soup, reserving liquid. Puree vegetables in food processor and return to liquid, combining with a whisk.
Put soup in clean pot to reheat. Check seasoning and add salt if necessary.
Just before serving, stir in parsley and chives.

Two reasonable items discussed this week:
- Kwark made a pretty sweet guide about his take on PvZ, then added in other guides on other variations taking advantage of the 7min-8:30 min timing in PvZ. It can be found here. Two threads that are a bit older that talk a lot about the advantages and disadvantages of the various variations are discussion of Bisu versus Jaedong and Violet versus Lzgamer. The former talks a lot about the orderings of buildings and has a of reps and Vods, the latter is an actual build that is pretty good (that wasn't included in the Kwark's guide).
My personal take is that you shouldn't sacrifice tech to get that attack out faster. I was very reluctant to put the Bisu versus Jaedong discussion because a lot of the thread is kind of old, some of the information might be stale, and people are busy throwing around "lol PvZ solved" and "Jaedong didn't care" or what not. While killing the zerg is nice, you really want to set yourself up for a strong midgame. Zerg simcity is usually so strong these days that you're really just looking to keep the zerg honest and kill him if he isn't. Of all the builds I prefer the one Violet used because it's still a relatively quick attack that looks to take advantage of that timing while not cutting too many corners. But who am I? Read the threads, make your own opinions.
- A bit of discussion about 1 base PvZ. Some went as far as to call it the next meta game shift of PvZ. I'm not going to link any threads because they're wrong, but nothing should stop you from trying out a trying out a new style and figuring out for yourself why everyone FE's in PvZ. The games that were the cause for all this excitement are Anytime versus Hyuk (check out the Day[9] version here) and Kal versus Hyuk. Another thing to reference are Day[9]'s podcast on "A Simple Goon-Reaver build" found here.
I hope you enjoyed this chalk talk.

This thread was just hilarious to watch happen...
It started off as a somewhat harmless newspost,then some valid albeit heated debates started, but by the end, people weren't even trying to hide it.
All religious people are ignorant to science and it offends me.
All Buddhists are wankers.
Respect to Switzerland !!!
Stop fucking islamisation !!!
White Europe is dying ;-(
I hope this actually will be the first step towards the elimination of muslims in europe. They are garbage and we don't want them.
And my personal favorite not a troll but certainly interesting...
Wow. I'll just make a simple post that says this sucks.
Telling people what to wear, and I was under the impression that they had a very liberal government. Very sad day. Suppose next they will be banning books or something? I'm sure there are many other signs of Islamisation there as well.
If this isn't a troll... god help us

Once you have arbiters out, I advise hallucinating several to combat scourge attacks. In fact, this is probably a better use for your high templar than storm. The symbiotic relationship of templar hallucinating arbiters and arbiters recalling templar to their position is near unbeatable as most zergs will simply leave the game after seeing an army of 30 arbiters, real or otherwise. If they do not, your best strategies are probably name calling, hiding pylons, making disparaging references to your opponent's mother, or dischack. Good luck!

Without further ado, I present to thee a sit down with one of our beloved forum stars. You may know him from his translation posts or perhaps even more recently his announcement of the new Coach-Pupil league. l10f may not be the first name you think of when you think of forum hotshots but I assure you his work is instrumental in making TeamLiquid what it is today. Go back and read some of his translations to get yourself nice and appreciative before you return!
+ Show Spoiler [The Interview] +
LordWeird: Alright. First off, tell us a bit about yourself. Specifically, your age, gender, and geographical location.
l10f: I'm 17, Male, living in NY, USA.
LordWeird: Ah, so you live in the city, or what?
l10f: Nope, Rockland County. Very suburban area. Not too many people and there are a lot of big houses. It's about 40 minute drive to the city.
LordWeird: Did you get a chance to go to WCG USA?
l10f: No, I don't have a car, so unless someone is willing to take me to any events, I can't go to any.
LordWeird: Ah that sucks.
l10f: Yes it does
LordWeird: Moving on, tell us about your TL career. How did it start, and how did you end up getting the coveted star?
l10f: I first encountered TL when I was watching that infamous Baezzi video. I visited the site after getting somewhat bothered by what Baezzi said on that video. After that, I forgot about its existence for a while, until I really started watching Professional StarCraft. I joined it, but didn't post for a long time. I started posting on LR threads after a while, and trolling. I even got banned by manifesto7 once. When vacation hit, I had nothing to do, and nobody was doing the MSL Semifinals B where Calm beat Jaedong interview, so I decided to do it. I found it fun to translate, and continued to translate variousarticles/interviews.
l10f: One day I went on TL irc for the first time, and I started chatting when Kenningit suddenly said "l10f starred imo" and gave me the star. After that, I continued to translate, but after doing the MSL group selections I got lazy a bit :p
LordWeird: So are you a native-born Korean who moved to the US?
l10f: Yes, I was born in Korea and lived there until 4th grade, and moved to US 7 years ago, during World Cup 2002. I remember seeing Turkey vs South Korea in U.S. and feeling sad after we lost
LordWeird: So now you're part of the Coach-Pupil League. What caused you to want to get involved in this? What can you tell us about it?
l10f: I was stuck in C- for 3 seasons on iCCup, and I recently made C. I know there are a lot of players that are also struggling in the lower levels, and when I saw EsX_Raptor's blog, I thought that it was an amazing idea. So I talked to him, and we decided to ask TL members if people would be interested. Unlike what I expected, so many people were interested in such a league. We have enough coaches and players signed up already to start a league. However, the only problem is that I feel like people will drop out in the middle. I really hope that people signed up knowing the responsibilities that come with being on a team. I think this will go really well as long as the people involved are serious about participating.
l10f: Did I see your name on the list? I don't remember
LordWeird: Yeah, I'll be playing. I'll be losing, but I'll be playing.
l10f: I'm less worried about people playing on the matches. I'm worried about people not practicing (note from LW: I misread this at "participating")
LordWeird: That's always a problem with running large scale events. How do you intend on preventing this from happening or do you feel this is something that cannot be prevented?
l10f: I don't think it's possible to have nobody drop out. We have too many players compared to the coaches, and not everyone will be put on a team. I think if a player decides to drop out, we can replace him with another player that wanted to play, but could not. Although joining a team in the middle of the league isn't ideal, it's the best we can do.
LordWeird: So tell us more about your Starcraft abilities. You mentioned you were C, but nothing else. How long have you been playing the game and to which race do you swear your allegiance?
l10f: My first StarCraft game was when I was around.. 7,8? I was really young. My cousin put me on a computer, told me to play this game, and left me alone. Before he left, he typed "show me the money" on the screen. It was a 2 hour long game against a computer which I eventually lost. After that, I didn't see the game for a while, because my computer was too slow to run it. I started playing again about 3 years ago, as a Terran player. That didn't last long either. I stopped playing in a couple of months. Then I came back as a Protoss player about 1.5 years ago. I played mostly on USEast, until I found out about iCCup and reached C-. After that, I changed to Zerg, and played the last 2 seasons as Zerg. This is the first season I've reached C, and I can consistently stay on C. I think that's okay, but not too good.
LordWeird: So who is your favorite poster on TL?
l10f: I don't want to pick one specific person.. but I'm good friends with ghostWriter, although I don't always agree with his posts. Then there are a lot of posters that I love. Although I haven't really talked to some of these people, I love HAREM, Roffles, TOP, NeverGG, Day[9], IntoTheWow, Manifesto7, Lyriene, Kau, ilikestarcraft, and so many more that I can't name them all
LordWeird: Now, who is your least favorite poster?
l10f: Some of the people that I dislike are banned already for being generally bad posters. I'll refrain from saying some names because I don't want to get into any arguments or receive nasty PM's.
LordWeird: What a nice guy you are.
l10f: If you say so
LordWeird: What has been your favorite moment on TL since you've been here?
l10f: I enjoy my time in TL in general, I don't think I can pick one single moment.
LordWeird: You have to.
l10f: Hmm I guess when GTR decided to use my idea of translating 태풍의눈 to Eye of the Storm instead of Typhoon's Eye and he wanted to name it Cyclone's eye I think, not Typhoon
LordWeird: So what's been your most embarrassing moment on TL?
l10f: Of course, I would have to say, when I got banned although it's not in the automated ban thread because Manifesto changed it into a warning after reading my first translation.
LordWeird: Unfortunately for you, you have to send me the post that got you banned.
l10f: + Show Spoiler +
LordWeird: Ok, well I guess that's it for now. Anything you'd like to say to your beloved fans?
l10f: I want to thank everyone who always thank me for the small things that I do for TL.net. I have been slacking in translating things lately, but it looks like my lovely cousin has it covered I will try to return to doing the translations once this Coach-Pupil League gets going. Thanks everyone!
l10f: P.S. if you're in the league, and you drop out, I will find you, and kill you.
LordWeird: Thanks for your time!
l10f: No problem!
l10f: I'm 17, Male, living in NY, USA.

l10f: I'm less worried about people playing on the matches.

If you know of someone who you want to be interviewed, you can always PM me with your suggestions. Please try to keep it non-staff because those jerks get enough attention as it is. There are some big TL personalities on the list to be interviewed so stay tuned!
