p.s. i know i was kinda confused on what to do after my 1 gate. i usually do 2 gate, but trying out 1 gate on terran.

ur 1-gate cyber was standard, and u transitioned into 2 gate. then, u should go obs, which is standard vs terran. 2. u expanded too late. he went siege expand, which means he is basically turtling in his base until he can get his expo running. use this time to gain 1-2 bases depending on how u see fit. but at least expand ONCE. 3. u kept ur army still u basically camped ur army in ur base until he came with the tanks. but then again, u would have lost anyway because ur econ was bad (didnt have enough min, so could not make more gates and units) 4. u suicided ur initial force. STOP TRYING TO ATTACK UP THE RAMP. its called siege expand because u cant touch the tanks without a clever bulldog, which u didnt have. keep the goons and stuff across the bridge outside of his main. this confines ur opp while u expand and tech up safely. probly more experienced players will add more critiques, but this is my two cents. good luck  | ||

1. Your scouting probe didn't actually go up the ramp and scout, even though he had a hole in the wall 2. You lost the initial force of 2 dragoons and a zealot (maybe more actually) 3. 4 gates and reaver harrass off 1 base - not economically viable, your expo comes way too late, so he can contain you from just 2-3 factories. | ||

You lost your army carelessly to your opponent outside his/her base. He was seige expanding, there was no way you were going to break that. When I see a Terran seige expand I normally expand (sometimes twice depending on the situation) myself (remember you need to have one more base than Terran), you also expanded late. Also, and this is very important, you need to keep making probes, I noticed that you stopped very early, don't stop. The reason being when you expand you want to be able to transfer probes so you can get your expansion running quicker while still having saturation in your main. You went 4 gates and reaver? Not on one base buddy. You also lost your reaver near the end when it could have been microed. You could have also brought it back to defend your base considered all he had was tanks. In the end he just ran you over because your expansion was late, you had no money to pump units. I think you should learn the basics before you go into reaver play. Get a solid game down first and learn how to macro. Hope that helps. | ||

Would it be too much to ask of you to read other related posts and liquipedia to get other people's ideas on how you (protoss in general) lose games instead of doing what you did here which is...fail. If you want the opinion of others, it's generally a good idea to give those opinions some respect, rather than giving excuses, shrugging them off, or just saying "no, I'm sure I'm right." Once you get past that, a "thank you" might be appropriate. The help you get is directly related to how well you follow the rules (your OP is below the quality guidelined in the Strategy forum rules), and how much you respect the opinions of others in the thread. | ||
