Dark announced through Twitter/X that he will be beginning his military service on May 13th.
"Hello, my friends I’m starting my military service on May 13 I’ve been truly happy thanks to all of you
I’ve always loved how passionate you’ve been whenever I played in overseas tournaments
I hope we can meet again someday Thank you so much"

Good luck Daddy Dark. Hope there is still a scene to come back to in 2y.

Dark was not the best Zerg, but he was the most iconic Zerg imo.

My favorite player to watch and one of the most consistently strong players of all time. Won't be the same without him.

Always a threat. The very best in dire situations and comeback scenarios, perhaps even ahead of Maru. Take care, king.

Good. He can go in during the roots movement and come out when SC2 is thriving again. GL Dark!

Absolutely love, love that he was going through the last six months in a semi-washed state waiting for military service, but still got up for a random 4-3 win over Serral in PiG Festival during his retirement week.

My favorite part of Dark's last showing at PiGsty 6 was that he was close to being 2-0'ed by Astrea, after having played hilariously poor openings, complete with misbuilt overlords, only to somehow win the second game anyway and proceed to become 1st in the whole group. A classical Dark move.
gg!
