Hey everyone.
I've had time to cool my emotions and talk to a lot of people about what happened between me and nightend, and I realize that what I did was very wrong. I disappointed the people watching the stream, my fans, nightends fans, Dreamhack, the casters, ESPORTS itself. My actions are detrimental to our lovely sport, and if other people would have the same kind of attitude, then nobody would even bother to watch SC2.
I have recently gone through a lot of stuff, changes in my life and even though it's no excuse I am not ashamed to admit that I have probably been through one of the most emotional weeks of my life. All I really wanted was to play good starcraft as a way to escape from everything that has been going on in my head. There was nothing I wanted more than to advance to the ro12, and after failing that mission after losing game 1, I literally broke down. I sat there in my chair almost crying, and sadness took over me completely. Because of that I didn't bring what I should have brought to the 2nd game of the BO3 series. I want to apologize. I really feel bad about what happened, and even though I can't change what happened I can promise you it will never happen again. In 10 years of playing SC1/SC2 tournaments I have never thrown a game or acted like I did against nightend. But it is what it is, it happened and I can't change it. I can only ask for forgiveness and move forward after this and I'll try my best to do a better job at competing. To my team, my peers, and the people watching, I'm sorry.
I also hate the fact that im taking attention away from all the great sc2 games, so please cheer for the remaining players.

Can't ask for more than an apology Keeping a cool head under so much pressure is probably a tough thing to do.

It's cool man, I think this is all blown out of proportion by our drama loving community anyways. I don't think anyone can expect you to give your everything after you failed to achieve what you wanted so badly. More people in our community should actually try to understand how stressful the live of a progamer actually is, especially in tournaments. I think if anyone is to blame here it's the flawed tournament system that actually allows for these kind of situations to happen rather than the pro gamer who was just really disappointed by his performance and sad that he couldn't achieve his goals.

Starcraft pro's are just normal people with higher apm. It happens Jos. Like you said, nothing can change it now. Positive mind, healthy life. There is always next time.

At least you didn't drone rush.
Better luck in the next tournament, Ret.

Just stay yourself because you are awesome Ret and nobody is perfect! Don't be to hard on yourself, Ret fighting!!!

I have to disagree. I don't think it is all cool now that he has apologized. I'm sure Ret would agree that everything isn't all cool now either. He made a huge mistake and this apology and honesty is good to see but it doesn't make up for it.
I'm not saying that Ret can't be forgiven in even a short amount of time because thankfully it didn't seem to effect the results. If Naniwa was out and Nightend was going through then it certainly wouldn't be "all cool"
I do appreciate Ret's honesty though.

Don't worry about it man, everyone needs to let off some steam sometimes, look forward to watching you play again soon At least you somewhat tried rather than doing a worker rush *cough* cough* Naniwa *cough* *cough* (i'm just kidding btw, not hating on Nani)

I just want to see the good ol' Ret Jos. Just get better soon, I don't care if you don't participate in tournaments for 6 months or something, just get back on track and go on beasting like you always did.
RET FIGHTING

We still love you Ret! Keep on keeping on, we'll be here for you!

Not a big deal my man. Stay strong, hope to see you again.

I think you've proven to be a good sport and people will chalk it up as you having a bad day.
An apology is cool, but don't beat yourself up for this.

Pft. I still think you should've been able to advance with the score you would've had. Nevertheless, I'll be there with a cheerful for you the next time you make it to the finals.
