I dunno guys, I've never been banned from any forum in my ~12 years on the internetz, I think it's usually pretty hard to get banned when you aren't an idiot about your posting.

Beyonder warned me once with a personal PM (before the actual warning system was in place) early on, then again he's a meanie!

Back in the day I use to think that anyone that got banned was a retard. Then I got banned. Now I still think that everyone that gets banned is a retard.

I haven't been banned yet, although I know I've come close. Think I'm on two warnings? A couple posters and I have gotten into it regarding their ignorance in certain subjects and I have pointed out how horribly wrong they were... (I may have been wrong sometimes, but I was always very forceful... and probably still am)

I can tell I'm going to get banned eventually b/c I get a bit too passionate (read: stupid) sometimes. However, I know the warning have done their jobs because I can not tell you how many times I have hit quote > typed up a long-as-fuck reply about how god damned stupid said poster is and why they're stupid... then closed the tab because I know I'm just asking to be banned.

There should be a counter next to post count of closed replies count... would be interesting for sure

my only ban ever anywhere was a 2 day here for a stupid joke on page 50 of a thread full of stupid jokes when page 44 had a warning not to post any more jokes.

Lesson learned: either read through every single page of jokes to know if it is still safe to post them, or don't post any at all. The latter is easier, and it wasn't that important to me to be Carlos Mencia

I don't think I have ever been warned? I know I have never been banned. However seeing what other people get warned/banned for taught me what you can or cannot get away with. Its useful if you look especially at the amount of posts and join times because bans are often context specific to the situation and that particular user. (like vet vs non vet etc). I joined near the end of 2003 so I have managed to maintain a low key so far heh.

I have never been banned for serious, but if you search my name in the Auto-Ban thread, you'll find I was banned by Rekrul permanently at one point. It was evidently revoked soon after because I didn't notice it until years later when I was searching through my old posts. As far as I can tell, it was due to a poor thread I made advertising a flash game that I wanted to see how well TL could do at. To be fair to me, this was a long time ago when the standards on the general forum were a lot lower as there were many many less users.

I was also warned once by Mani as I didn't see a warning to stop arguing about something. But that was just a mistake, the argument wasn't that heated.

Also at one point I was told that my mod notes were funny. Though I have never found out what they were.

I've been banned a bit, but I really tried to be banned back then (1-2 year ago).So I think you need to try and get banned from here to actually get banned However, the mods are a little ban-happy, which isn't a bad thing and helps more than it hurts at all so I see some "iffy" posters getting banned, but the mods do use a lot of temp bans which makes me happy. It's not perma-banned all the time.
